It didn't take long for Luke to show up after I texted him. He probably didn't live far away from the cliff or maybe he was already driving, in which case I'd have to lecture him on the dangers of using his phone while driving.

"Hey." he grinned as I walked over to his car that he was just getting out of - it was the red sports car that I'd thought was Michael's.

"Hi." I smiled shyly.

He looked me over and nodded approvingly, which was a good sign. "You look really pretty. New look?"

I shook my head, stopping in front of him. "Old, actually. Um, I usually dress like this."

"Why don't you wear stuff like this in school?" he wondered, reaching over to play with a strand of my hair. "It's cute."

"Amy told you guys I was like her, so..." I shrugged.

He nodded as he pieced it together. "Oh, gotcha. You pretended for her. Well, screw her, you look adorable."

I blushed. "Thanks. So...you're not mad?"

"Nah," he shook his head, "I'm not mad. Unless you weren't acting like you either."

"No, everything else about me is me." I laughed. "Well, except at the party. I'd never had alcohol in my life, so I'd like to apologize for that whole thing with you and Calum. That was just as weird for me as it probably was for you two."

He shrugged and patted the hood, signaling me to stand next to him. "It wasn't really that weird. It was kinda hot, I'll admit."

I blushed even more and looked the opposite direction of him so he wouldn't see. "Something I don't think I've ever been called."

"Seriously?" he asked, and I could feel him looking down at me.

"Well I was homeschooled from sixth grade until now." I said, looking back at him. "No one was around to think I was hot."

"Well now you're in a public high school," he grinned, "get used to it. I hear what people say."

"Oh, so you have some competition?" I smirked.

"Please, none of them match up to me." he smiled, rolling his eyes.

"Last time I checked, I was hanging out with Luke Hemmings, not Calum Hood."

"Speaking of, where is he?" Luke wondered, looking around.

Come to think of it, I hadn't seen him in a while either. I looked around but didn't see him or AJ, who I wasn't sure Luke even knew about so it was probably good they were both gone. Though, I could only guess what they were doing...

Don't even go there, Alice.

"I think he mentioned something about going to the store with someone to get sodas." I quickly covered for him.

Luke nodded. "Oh. So he's not gonna come butt in at any moment, right?"

I shook my head. "Nope, no that I know of."

"Perfect," he grunted as he slid back on the hood and pulled me back with him, "then I can get to know the real Alice Olivia Ackerman."

"Only my parents say my full name and it's when they get mad at me." I smiled.

"Then I'll call you Alice Olivia." he decided with a grin.

"Like Hazel Grace from The Fault in Our Stars?"

"Is that the cancer movie?" he asked and I nodded. "I didn't know about that, Mikey's the only one out of us who's seen it. Guess I'll find a different cute name for you then."

"You can work on that and get back to me by our date." I told him with a grin.

He laughed and nodded. "Alright, boss."

"Just please don't call me Allie." I sighed. "I hate it. And Calum already has dibs on Allykins and Alice in Wonderland."

"You're not really in much of a Wonderland," he shrugged, looking over at the cliff, "more like Fuckerland."

"Please don't start calling me Alice in Fuckerland."

He laughed loudly and nudged my shoulder with his. "I won't, don't worry. I'll think of something clever and cute."

I got home around 9:30 and Amy was sitting in the living room, watching tv. She turned when she heard the door close and smirked.

"So?" she asked.

I shrugged. "We went to the cliff, saw Michael and Violet and some other guys. Luke showed up. It was fun.

"Luke showed up?! While you look like that?!" she asked, her eyes widening with worry.

"He was fine with it," I told her smoothly, "and he wasn't mad at all."

She nodded and calmed down. "Oh, that's nice."

"But I did tell Michael about...me." I admitted, walking over to her.

Instead of looking worried, a smile started to break on her face. "Like, about your secret secret?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

She squealed and pulled me in for a rib-crushing hug. "Your first step to embracing it and telling the world!"

"Okay, I don't know about the world." I coughed, trying to wiggle out of her grip. "And you're crushing me!"

"Sorry," she giggled, letting go and pulling me to sit with her on the couch, "I'm just so excited you told someone! How'd he take it?"

"Really well." I smiled softly. "I'm actually glad I told him."

"Are you gonna tell Calum next? Or Luke?"

I sighed and shook my head. "I'm taking this slow. I can handle telling Michael because he isn't a blabbermouth. I'm not even thinking about telling anyone else yet. You never told Ashton, did you?

"No, you almost made me take a blood oath to never tell him until you tell me I can, remember?" she said, rolling her eyes.

"Sometimes I think we should've gone through with it."

My phone went off as Amy gave me a look like you're probably not wrong. I pulled it out of my back pocket and saw it was a text.

Michael Clifford: I just wanted to tell you how meaningful it is to me that you trusted me with your secret. I'll never tell anyone, you can trust me
