Mute stared at Sebastian who only stood a few feet away from her. She didn't expect to see him again this soon. Actually, she didn't think she would see him again at all today. Now getting a better look at the creature, she couldn't help but wonder how a such a dark and lovely aura can come from a being like this. It didn't match his appearance.

"My, what a beautiful creature you are. My Lady." Sebastian spoke. At the end of his sentence, his voice grew dark with possession and want as he gazed upon the young woman. Mute didn't know what to do at this point. Should she run? She had no intention to seek this aura out any longer. Without saying a word, Mute turned on her heels and began to walk away. But so quickly Sebastian was already behind her. "It's quite dangerous to be walking alone at night."

Mute stopped in her tracks when she heard his voice right behind her. But she didn't flinch nor move. She didn't even to stop to turn around and face him. Instead, she kept on walking, still not saying a word.

But as she did so, a pair of black shadow wings shot out of her back and pierced Sebastian's chest all the way through his back. The wings were like spikes as they impaled the demon. Sebastian's eyes widened as he coughed up blood while staring wide eyed at the woman.

Mute turned her head over her shoulder and gave Sebastian a cold stare. Her eyes were emotionless as they stared into his wide red ones. Without saying a word, she had attacked him without any mercy. Mute looked like she wanted to say something to the momentarily suffering demon, but nothing came to mind. All she could do was stare dead at him with her cold eyes.

'What a nuisance...' Mute thought as her shadow spike wings slowly descended. Sebastian dropped to the ground with a hard thud as blood seeped out from his wounds. Mute looked at the seem to be lifeless body on the ground before turning on her heels to leave the scene. 'Apologies...' Moments later her arm was grabbed in a firm grip, causing her to turn around with shock. Sebastian was already back on his feet and his wounds have already healed. 'How?!'

"You are stronger than I thought. I didn't think I would meet a creature with such potential." Sebastian comments with his sly smirk.

'A demon.' Her expression went back to being blank before turning her body into a black mist and soaring through the forest and disappearing from Sebastian's sight. He blinked at this as he watched his prey get away from him. But Mute was smart to run off and not engage in whatever Sebastian had in store for her. She knew better than to go up against a demon.

Sebastian stared in the direction where Mute had vanished to with the same smirk expressing on his face. He couldn't help but get excited as he licked his lips hungrily. "So be it." He said to himself before casually walking away.

Morning came and Mute was back at her friend's house, lying in bed but wide awake. She didn't sleep at all that night. She couldn't. Not like she could anyway. But she couldn't get her mind off her encounter last night. With Sebastian.

'That was a demon last night. What's it doing here? Why is it blending with humans? Why does it have a human face?' Mute thought.

She didn't think she would run into a demon. Nor did she know that the aura was coming from him. So up close and personal, that aura grew much darker and blissful for Mute. But, as before, she could not get attached. Because to her nothing lasts forever.

'I need to forget about that. It's not like I'm going to see that thing again.' Mute shook her head with her thought as she sat up from her bed. But Sebastian wasn't the only thing on her mind. The way she attacked him without mercy and how he was able to recover so quickly. The entire encounter replayed in her head. Each moment replaying caused her body to curl up in her warm blanket of comfort, trying to sink into the depths of the darkness to forget.

"Mute? I told you that you cannot be in the dark all day. You know you have to be up and doing something. You returned quiet earlier than usual last night. Why the sudden change?" Miko knocked on Mute's bedroom door before entering inside the bedroom with a look of worry. "Did something happen? You came straight to your room."

'I'll be fine, Miko.' She wishes she could say. But all she could was shake her head before slipping out of bed.

"Well, let's get going. I feel as if today something exciting awaits us." Miko smirks as she walks out of the house beside Mute.
