Chapt. 16 ~ The Amount Of Chaos

'Wake up.' Mute told herself before opening her eyes. It hadn't been that long since Mute had fallen asleep. She tried her best to sleep, but getting any shut eye wasn't on her side for tonight. Her head pounded against her skull. Mute shook her head and got out of the bed and left the room. 

Her plan wasn't to escape this time. She just didn't want to be asleep at the moment. Mute had found her way into the garden and looked at the flowers below. Her mind began to wonder off until she felt Sebastian's presence. 

"What do you want?" She slowly glanced at him with the corner of her eye. 

"Only to look after you. Are you alright?" 

"I'll live." Mute replied, her back still turned to him. "Apologies. I'm aware of what I've done..." She folded her arms. 'One of the reasons why I couldn't rest. I had to calm down...'

"It is alright, Milady. I was worried for you." Sebastian walked closer to her. He answered with a soft smirk. 

"I don't get it... What is it that you want from me?! I don't believe a damn word that you say!" She tightened her fist and shook her head as if she were tantrum. At the same time the wind blew a bit heavily due to Mute's emotions. But she wasn't going to let her emotions get the better of her. Not this time. 

"I want to take care of you, Mute." 

"You can't... There's no point. What are you doing this for?" 

"That should have been clear to you by now, Milady." Within an instant, Sebastian was in front of Mute with his eyes glowing demonically. He smirked as he pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her small body. Mute flinched as he did this before staying still as a rock. Moments later, she felt what she had been craving. "You can feel it, can't you? You and I are meant to be." 

Mute's eyes were closed as she had so quickly given into the feeling. Lust. Adoration. Want. Need. She wanted so badly to deny it. But she shoved herself away from him and gave him a glare. "You're wrong. It's only instinct." 

"You can deny it as much as you like, but deep down you know the truth." Sebastian cupped her chin with his finger curled and his thumb resting on her chin. 

'You and I are creatures that are not from this world. That doesn't mean we are meant to be mates. You're insane...' Mute frowned with some doubt. She looked back at Sebastian at the same time he leaned down to her eye level. Mute flinched as Sebastian gave her cheek a long, sweet kiss. After that he smiled down at her and walked away, going into the manor to return to his duties. 

The following day, Mute accompanied Ciel, Sebastian, Soma, and the other servants to the curry festival. She knew she had to be out to get some fresh air. She didn't want to cause any trouble. After Sebastian said his temporarily farewells, Mute was able to go off on her own. As she walked, she heard her name being called out. 

"Mute? Mute!" Mute turned around and was hugged tightly by her friend, Miko. She blinked in surprise.
