~Third Person's POV~

Mute & Miko remained hidden before sneaking away from the performance tent before they could be noticed, as William was claiming 'Black' to be a demon. Which was a great distraction on their end, but not something they wanted to be around for. They waited until night before William finally rendezvoused with them, hidden from the other performers. "I never thought I'd see the day a Reaper joins the circus. What a twist." Miko teases. "What does a Reaper have business with a circus?... Who here is scheduled to die, I wonder."

William turns to the Foxian while adjusting his glasses. "A few souls. But what brings the both of you to these parts?"

Miko could only smirk and turn to Mute for the obvious answer. William glanced at Mute then back at Miko, but not understanding the concept. "How will you be able to do your work while the Young Earl and that demon are here? You and him don't exactly get along. I highly doubt you both would want to work together."

"Even so, it only makes matter all the more." Sebastian suddenly made his appearance.

"And I will not have you interfere with my work. Even with your help, I'd have no desire." William got his weapon ready.

"Stop it." Mute spoke out. "We're all here for a reason, and it's in our best interest to keep yourselves hidden. We have different jobs, and it all involves this circus. The sooner we get this done, the better..."

"Well said." Ciel walks over to the group. "Mute's right. Whether we are working together or not, we know that this circus is involved. And because we are our on different terms it would be in our best interest to stay out each other's way. We leave you alone and you leave us alone." Ciel turned toward William, who scoffs while replying,

"Agreed. All I ask is for you to keep your demon on a tight leash. Make no mistake, if he interferes with my work I will not hesitate to cut him down." William threatens.

"You'll do no such thing." Mute slowly turned her head towards the Reaper. Ciel and Sebastian stood still seeing her cold gaze. Mute wanted to end this chaos as soon as she could. The more time they wasted, the less chance they had on saving the missing children. Mute cared for their safety, and she wasn't going to let a Reaper stall.

She could say her reasoning as to why she wouldn't allow William to fight Sebastian, but it'd be too much to explain. Mute continued to stare coldly at William, who could feel the tension from her, causing him to quickly change the subject. "Honestly, I will never understand the relationship between humans and demons..."

Miko giggled under her breath and clapped her hands to break the tension. "So, you all will continue to play dress-up while we continue searching from the outside. Good luck trying to keep your identities a secret. It's the least I can say for a man who is lacking in his disguise." She glanced at William with a smirk.

Throughout the night as the show went on, Mute and Miko sat on top of one of the tall tents to pass the time. Mute's eyes were closed. Patiently waiting. "Don't you want to watch, Mute?" Miko called out to her in a whisper as she was watching their allies from down below.  Mute merely shook her head while keeping her eyes closed. "Come now, you're about to miss the best part."
