After the night's little meet-up with the shooters of the bike shop, news quickly spread about their deaths. Passersby from the next town mentioned the wreck, and a very disturbing scene.
But they were no longer a problem.
The morning sun rose through the curtains in the Hyoudou household, shining down into the room. Issei Hyoudou, one of two high school boys that were sleeping in that room, had his face down in the pillow, in a position where he wouldn't suffocate, while (F/N) was completely sprawled out on the sleeping back, face down as well. He was still dressed from before he left the house, but one thing really stood out; the cut on his back.
In fact, that wasn't his only piece of clothing that was really torn up. From yesterday, the shirt he wore when he was shot was hidden; at first, he wore the shirt in reverse so that it would appear that everything was fine, but when he got home he hid it, beneath the pillow section of the sleeping bag.
"Fufu~ Time to wake up, dear~" A voice could be heard, coming from the alarm clock sitting above Issei's head. "Come on now~ Breakfast is ready~ You don't wanna make mommy upset, do you?~" A mature-looking woman appeared on the digital screen of his clock, with lipstick on, an apron, and a whisk in hand. Followed with her voice was some music, meant to help wake the person up if they didn't answer the call of this motherly character.
(F/N) was the first to wake up from it, pushing himself to his feet and looking around. Wiping the drool, he sat up and rested on his feet, looking across at the window. His eyes squinted, and he struggled to adjust his vision, the sun's light searing his vision, before he got up and walked out, leaving the alarm awake to hopefully wake Issei up.
"What a weird alarm clock," (F/N) muttered. He could hear other people moving about in the house; the running shower, the sound of the newspaper page being flipped, and the smell of breakfast being made. (F/N) descended the stairs and peeked his head around a corner, into the living room, where he could see Issei's father reading the newspaper. He instantly saw the headlines to one;
THE TRUE GHOST RIDER STRIKES!
Panicking, (F/N) looked down at his current attire, seeing nothing was different, before he decided to run back up to Issei's room to give himself a more thorough look. What was different was that Issei's alarm clock was shut off, and Issei was slowly trying to wake himself up from his stupor. He yawned and stretched his arms, before proceeding to register the other human in the room.
"Oh, hey, (F/N)!" Issei greeted. "Hey, where did you go last night?" He asked as he stood up and walked over to his closet.
"I uh...." (F/N) said, before he ran through his memory, thinking only of his walk towards the garage and his next encounter with the men in it. "I...went to a convenience store. Y'know, I managed to buy a bike off of one of the owners."
"You went and bought another bike?" He asked.
"Yeah, imagine my surprise when it's the same make and model as the one I used to own," (F/N) replied, before he slowly backed towards the door.
"That's awesome," Issei said, his morning voice betraying the "excitement" or "upbeat happiness" that he might have. "But I don't think my Mom would like that excuse. Neither her, nor Asia, would be happy."
"Yeah." It slowly dawned on (F/N) that he would have to answer for what he did. Or just make sure the details of his little lie is as believable as possible.
Issei and (F/N) left the bedroom, and walked downstairs towards the kitchen to get their breakfast. When (F/N) entered, Mrs. Hyoudou placed her hand against her chest and she felt relieved.
