There was nothing more real in the holiday then the reality of love.

Couples were on dates, hanging out, and getting gifts for one another to further solidify their love for each other.

And (F/N) wasn't just going to sit back on this occasion. No, he needed to think big! He needed to make sure that the warm fuzzies would be felt all over!

For both him...and Ruby!

For this, he turned to his friend, Lucas, for help! He was surely a ladies man. Dan wasn't really into the whole idea of dating, and Abella wasn't having any luck on her side (bless her heart).

"A date with Ruby, huh?" Lucas asked, while him and his team were in their dorms. Dan was meditating, as usual, and Abella was looking over her weapons for any scratches. Lucas didn't need any sort of weapons, for he himself is a weapon! Indestructible skin, super strength, and a nice pair of shades.

"Yeah! Seeing as how you didn't really help when I won the bet, I think I deserve the right to have your help this time around," (F/N) stated, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Hey, it did help! She felt pretty bad after denying you," Lucas replied. Abella looked up from her weapon and gave Lucas a curious glance.

"So you wanted her to pity him? To take him on a...pity date?"

"What!? No!" Lucas replied.

"I dunno," Dan spoke up, "that sure sounds like what you were intending."

"Alright! Alright!" Lucas said, holding his hands up between the both of them. "Look, if you're trying to do a special Valentines Day date, then you should probably take her to a nice dinner, something really fancy, okay?"

"You sure taking her somewhere fancy is really going to make the night special?" Abella asked.

"Yeah!" Lucas replied. "Think about it, Ruby is from Patch, right?"

"How do you know this?" (F/N) asked.

"Cause Yang is Taiyang's daughter, and Taiyang is a teacher in Signal, which is in Patch," Lucas briefly answered, before getting back on track with his plan, "now, they've lived a pretty good life in Patch, but it's certainly not Atlas. So imagine the look on her face when she sees that you've taken her to the fanciest restaurant in Vale!"

"I'm pretty sure you can get the same look if you just gift her some cookies," Dan pointed out.

"Well that can be desert! A mountain of cookies!"

(F/N) looked at the rest of his teammates, wanting to see their reactions to Lucas's idea. Dan wasn't really on board with it, and Abella just shook her head.

"Doesn't really seem like a solid idea, Lucas," (F/N) replied. "And sounds pretty expensive. Who do you think I am, Weiss?"

"Well, surely you can use your publicity from the Lizard incident to cover it?" Lucas's suggestion was met with a pillow to the face, thrown by Abella.

"Do you think he's Curveball now?" Abella asked. "Hey, speaking of, what happened to Curveball after that incident? He hasn't been doing a lot of podcasts after that."

"Best not to worry about him," Dan spoke up. "Fate has deemed that he face his repercussions. Your focus should be on planning your date."

"Yeah," (F/N) said, taking a seat at his desk and holding his chin. "What can I do?" Abella rolled her eyes and walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Look, you're over-thinking this," she said. "Ruby isn't the kind of person who enjoys the bright and shining lights, or the red velvet cakes. Don't think with that mind of yours," she said, ruffling his head like a sister does to her brother, "think with that heart of yours." (F/N) chuckled when he felt Abella's hands, adjusting his hair for a moment.
