Samael's body hit the ground hard, the Rider showing no respect, even in his death. He just stared at the body, tilting his head to the side, to ensure that he was dead. Nodding his head, he turned around to leave, to exit into the daylight and let (F/N) take control again. But the Rider stopped when he spotted Akeno at the foot of the staircase, looking at the patch that was on the jacket. The Rider looked at the patch, but he continued walking, going to leave. When he walked by Akeno, Akeno grabbed the Rider's arm, stopping him from leaving. The Spirit of Vengeance looked down at her hand, and then up to her face. Her eyes were still on Samael, but turned to meet the gaze of the blazing skull. She pulled her hand back and turned to face him.
Their eyes met, but the Rider did not enact the Penance Stare. Slowly, Akeno went to cup the "cheek" of the Rider, only for said Rider to flinch his head away.
"Monster..." was what the Rider said, referring to himself. Akeno giggled in response, trying again to cup his cheek.
"I'm not scared," she said.
And as if her timing was precise, as her hand drew nearer to the skull, the light from outside slowly washed over the Rider's face. As her hand got close, (F/N)'s face slowly returned as well. And when her hand finally touched (F/N)'s face, that was when he was in control. The first thing he felt was her hand, and he looked into her lavender eyes, glistening, now that it was all over.
They continued that way, looking into each other's eyes, even as (F/N) reached up to feel Akeno's hand.
"Akeno," (F/N) muttered. As they stood there, pausing for a moment, Akeno made the move and pulled (F/N) into a hug. Though a part of him (the horny side) relished the feeling of her large bust pressing against him, a kind of warmth washed through him as he felt her arms hold him tight. It was different from when Asia hugged him, so the only way he could return the favor was to hug Akeno as well.
The two finally walked up the stairs, standing close to each other and going to face Rias and the others. All of them had an uncomfortable look on their faces, having heard Samael's screams of pain and the Ghost Rider's voice echoing to them. But seeing (F/N) and Akeno walking up seemed to calm them down.
"I take it he's been dealt with?" Rias asked, wanting to hear confirmation for herself. (F/N) nodded his head.
"He's dead," (F/N) said firmly, emphasizing the point home to them. "His body's in the basement." All Rias, and the others, needed to hear was the fact that he was dead. It was enough to finally make them relax.
"Well done," another voice said. Everyone instantly went on the defensive, with (F/N) standing up front to greet the danger. To no one's surprise, it was Mephisto, who approached with a cane in hand, wearing the same outfit he wore when he made the deal with (F/N). "I'm sure you understand what kind of nuisance Samael would've been, had he gotten his hands on the book. Speaking of which," he then held his hand out to (F/N), "perhaps it would be best to hand the book over." Everyone stood stiff, preparing to attack. "I'm sure even Gremory understands why they can't keep it; it would disturb the deadlock you have with the Fallen Angels and Angels. If they were to find out that Devils have such a cursed grimoire, then there's no telling what sort of tactic they will use to eliminate you. Could you imagine it? Fallen Angels and Angels working together?" Rias was tenser than the others, understanding the kind of disastrous effects keeping the book would bring about. (F/N) looked over at the others, doing a quick once-over, before he grabbed the book from Koneko's hands. As he started walking over to him, Issei stepped up and grabbed his arm.
"(F/N), don't!" He said, with desperation in his voice, "come on, there has to be another way!"
"You know this is the only way to go about this," (F/N) replied. "You guys can't keep it, and I'll just be a target if I hold onto it." He yanked his arm out of Issei's grasp and got closer. Issei just continued to watch, hesitant to attack someone like (F/N). Tears started to form, and all he could do was tighten his fist in anger. "Here," (F/N) said, handing the book over. Mephisto chuckled and grabbed the book, taking it from (F/N)'s hands and looking it over.
