The Rider quickly gave chase to Wormwood, who turned into a swarm of insects to quickly run off. The streets with cars and pedestrians all made way for the Rider, watching as a skeletal man, on fire, riding a motorcycle, came charging at them. Him and (F/N) were on a mission, and one they would not stop at until they were done. (F/N)'s anger was present, but his need for vengeance boosted the Rider, just like what happened at the bike shop. Speeding onward, they followed Wormwood without thought, except for the idea that he was luring them into a trap.
He's too high off the ground! (F/N) pointed out from within the Rider's mind. Even with the chain, we won't be able to get him from here. The Rider hummed to himself, before looking ahead. The road further up was leading towards a split, going either left or right, as the thing in the middle was the junkyard where they encountered Freed.
"I have an idea," the Rider replied. He didn't bother looking for the entrance to the fill, instead choosing to bust through the wooden fence and heading towards the nearest hill. And what laid before him as a nice hill, with a good enough angle for what they wanted to do.
You're crazy!
"Thank you!" Twisting the handlebar, revving the engine harder, the Rider went up the hill and jumped off the ramp. He landed on the nearest roof, his tires striking hard and leaving a trail of flame as he continued to give chase to the plague Fallen Angel.
As he Rider continued chasing on the rooftop, Wormwood glanced behind him, watching as the Rider managed to get closer and closer, the only thing keeping him from catching up quickly is the amount of space between each building; the Rider would have to jump that as well, which was a brief pause in this chase. Even so, he was getting more and more concerned, with each passing second he could feel the Rider's heat, as well as (F/N)'s lust for vengeance, get closer and closer. The only other method next for Wormwood to utilize was zig-zagging left and right, using turns to try and slow the Rider down even more. The Rider slowly followed along, zig-zagging as well to try and keep up with Wormwood, but after seeing the pattern of said tactic, he was able to go in a straight line and get closer and closer.
We almost got him, but how do we get him to stop? (F/N) asked. The Rider had an answer to that; He took one of his hands off of the handlebar and held it up. With an open palm, he brought some of the fire from his cycle and made a ball out of it. He winded his hand back and hucked it forward, throwing the ball of fire towards the swarm of insects. When it hit one, an explosion followed and took out a huge chunk. The insects formed together to make Wormwood, who let out a scream of pain and nearly fell to the ground, but he quickly shook it off and continued his attempt to get away. Wanting to deliver in kind, Wormwood formed together again, created a spear of light in his palm, and hurled it towards the head of the Rider, only for him to duck. After hucking one spear, Wormwood turned into a cluster of insects again, trying to put distance between him and the Rider. The Rider chuckled as he got nearer and nearer, hurling more balls of fire towards the Fallen Angel.
You can do that!? (F/N) asked.
"Never had to use it, till now," the Rider replied as he chucked more and more balls of fire.
Wormwood continued his attempt to slow the Rider down, forming together for a second to huck another spear; this time, it hit the side of the Rider's bike, which made him wobble; the light from the spear disturbing the hell-energy in the bike. But the Rider quickly got steady and revved the engine a little harder to speed up. When he got close enough, Wormwood formed together to throw one more spear, only for the Rider to hurl a fireball and hit the hand that would've formed a light spear. Wormwood let out a shout of pain, holding his burnt hand and slowly dripping out of the air. This was the opening the Rider needed to take his chain, catch up to where Wormwood's head was, and wrap said chain around his entire body and finally around his neck. He laughed as he started to drag Wormwood across the rooftops, each jump he had to take to make it to another roof would drag Wormwood right at the edge, pulling his face through it and his body tumbling against the corner of the other building. Rider's laughter got louder and louder, enjoying the pain he was putting Wormwood through, not to mention pulling up on his neck as well.
