After having dined on some food, and picking up some for her husband, Mrs. Hyoudou and (F/N) parked at the building where Mr. Hyoudou worked, and he walked into the building, carrying with her a to-go order and a drink. While she was inside, (F/N) sat in the car and looked around again, seeing the different business people walking in and out, getting ready for the day.

As he sat there, his mind traced back to meeting Akeno and Rias for the first time. No doubt in his mind, they were really beautiful. Not only that, they were also very polite, and Mrs. Hyoudou seemed to trust Rias. On top of that, Asia spoke highly of her and her friends, so he felt he could trust them.

And then there was Akeno. The long hair, lavender eyes, and her well-endowed features. She had a gorgeous smile, that seemed to soothe (F/N). The more he played her greeting over in his mind, the more he wanted to be around her. She was intoxicating.

However, before he could continue thinking about her, a sharp pain began to run through his head. It jerked him out of his thoughts and he held his head, as if to keep it from splitting. He groaned and grunted, feeling heat from his chest start to rise up.

Heartburn and a headache, and a rising body temperature.

He opened the car door and stepped outside, hoping that the cool breeze of the afternoon would help cool him down. He rubbed his face, massaging his temples, before looking at his hands. They were red, and...glowing? Beneath the skin was some kind of light, as if someone fashioned a paper lantern with skin instead of paper. He flipped his hands constantly, looking at the front, then the back, then the front again, and then the back. And when he looked at the palm of his hand, he could see the bone formations of his palm. Not only that, but there was also fire! It rose out of the open wound like puss from a blister, if the puss exploded out like a geyser.

He let out a short scream and waved his hand, trying to put out the fire, but when he looked at it the wound and the fire was gone. As if it was never there. But his headache, and his heartburn, was still there. Persistent, even after that little scare. He stepped up to the car, closed his eyes and tapped his head against the roof of the car. The pain was getting unbearable. The split seemed to get wider. Even his brain twitched, like something inside tapping against him.

No matter what he did, the pain continued on and on. He looked up and around, but all he could see were some people looking at him with slight disgust, finding his actions weird and believing him to be crazy.

"Okay, calm down. Calm down." He took some deep breaths, convincing himself that what was happening was just the headache. No need to scream and stumble around. He leaned against the car, massaging his temples, trying to relieve the stress they may have. But even as he did that he could feel a small laugh trying to slip through. A part of him was facing the reality that nothing he was doing was working. "Just a headache. Surely, Mrs. Hyoudou has some pain killers, right? Just take one, take a seat back in the car, and maybe blindfold myself so the light doesn't sting." A chortle escaped his lips, and he leaned forward, with his hands on his knees, and trying to keep his noise down.

"Are you okay, (F/N)?" Mrs. Hyoudou asked, having stepped out from the entrance of the building. Her presence seemed to stem his headache. He looked up at her, more calm now, and stood straight.

"Y-Yeah," he answered, "I just had a little headache, so I decided to stand outside for a moment."

"Oh, you probably didn't get enough to eat," she assumed.

"That's probably the case as well," (F/N) added, giving her a small laugh to assure that he was okay.

Incoming! The voice in his head screamed, instantly making (F/N) look around.
