After the wreck, Akeno and (F/N) returned to the town where (F/N)'s school was. They had spent so long after school that it had become evening, where the sun was still in the sky, but the sky itself was turning orange. Though he had proven himself to be rather resilient, and determined to continue walking, the injuries he sustained, though slightly healed, were still getting on his nerves. The pain remained, and he was concerned that the Rider didn't do a good job in fixing him up. As they walked, they eventually came upon a public restroom. Akeno walked ahead, and turned to him.

"Head on in there and check your wounds, I'll go to that convenience store nearby and find some painkillers," she said, motioning over towards an open store that was further down the street from where they were standing. (F/N) nodded his head in agreement, parking his bike and heading inside, meanwhile Akeno went to the store. As (F/N) walked in, the guys from the alleyway spotted Akeno, and decided to follow her in.

(F/N) walked in and stood in front of the mirror, taking his jacket off and half-taking his shirt off and looking at the entire length of his arm. There were visible deformities; starting from the elbow, it appeared fine, but then it would get thinner before stretching back out to regular lengths, the skin being pulled in the direction of the tire, and visible scrapes that, if you were to peel back another layer, would expose the muscle. (F/N) gritted his teeth and let out a hiss seeing it. He then turned around, leaving his back to face the mirror, and he turned his head to examine the damage; his spine appeared fine, if you leave out the small curve that could buckle at some point. Fixing his shirt and jacket, he checked his surroundings, before dropping his pants and looking at his leg. Obvious bruising around the knees, similar scrapes that were on his arm, and a feeling that his own leg could, at some random point, just buckle and he would lose balance.

"Kind of a piss poor job you did, Rider," (F/N) said.

Sorry, I figured the least you want is to be able to walk. And, more importantly, remain alive, the Rider replied as (F/N) looked himself over. (F/N) then leaned down and pulled his pants up, fixing his belt and securing his pants in place.

"Well, I guess it's better than nothing," (F/N) muttered, straightening up his clothes again and fixing his tie.

So shall we discuss the memory you unlocked? (F/N) felt the realization click in his head. An "oh right" moment that spurred the thoughts to go through his head as he slipped his jacket on, zipping part of it up.

"Yeah, that's right," (F/N) began, "you had a comment on it. How come you couldn't see it again?"

Some kind of magic was preventing me from looking into your mind at that moment, the Rider answered. But seeing it now, I do believe I know who we are dealing with.

"You didn't know before?"

All I remember is my revelation, thanks to The Deceiver

"Ooo, The Deceiver," (F/N) said in a mock, surprised tone of voice, waving his arms.

I would take this seriously, (F/N). The Rider never really seemed to address (F/N) by his name. Whoever this Deceiver was, to (F/N), it was serious. If he's bound me to your body, just as he did the last two times.

"He's done this before?"

For a couple of small errands. The Contract of San Venganza was a power he sought for himself, however the second guy refused to give up that power to him.

"So there were a couple more 'Ghost Riders' before me?" (F/N) asked. "Do you remember them?"

One is in America right now, no doubt continuing his career as a stuntman.
