Run V: Opening Scene

"Dad, I'm going out with Cory and Mom to the movies, wanna come?" Zoriana asked and he shook his head. "I have to get caught up with work, have fun though sweetheart," he said and she nodded. She then left the house with her mom and brother.

Her dad walked down into the kitchen to make something to eat. He looked around and didn't see anything so he walked back upstairs into his office. His work phone then began to ring and he looked at it for a couple of minutes, considering he wasn't on duty at the moment. "Hello, you know I'm not on duty right now," he said smiling, thinking that it was just a mistake. "Hello, Mr. Flusher, I'm calling about a clogging issue," the other person said, the voice sounding dark like the one from the Scream movies. "Nice voice modulator and where is this issue at?" He asked and the voice snickered. "You're the cause," the voice said, hanging up the phone. He got up and turned around before he was stabbed in the stomach by a masked killer. The killer then stabbed him 23 more times before starting to cut his limbs. The killer then clogged the toilets with some of his limbs and left the rest there.

Zoriana, Adam, Malik, Carly, Cory, and Justine all sat at the lunch table together. They were part of a friend group and have been for around four years.

"I'm so sorry for your loss," Justine said to Cory and Zoriana and they smiled and nodded. "We just got home and he was murdered in the most gruesome way imaginable, it was so bad that we had to run a DNA test to see if it was him," Cory said before drinking from his water bottle. "Who could do such a thing?" Adam asked and Zoriana looked at him. "Probably one of those masked killers, they just went around New York City last year and killed all those people, they usually follow July and wherever she goes so now that she's back, so are they," Zoriana said and they nodded.

"Zori, do you think he's going to come for us too?" Malik asked and she smiled. "Look there have been five massacres, we are in a requel, and no one is safe, not even the legacy characters," she said and he looked at her weirdly. "I forgot you don't know much about horror movies, I don't feel like explaining it, just know that no one's safe," she said, handing him a piece of gum before entering her classroom.

Adam placed his bag down and walked up to his room. He was home alone at the moment. He walked upstairs and sat on his bed when his phone began to ring. "Hello?" He said, answering the phone. "Hello Adam," the voice said back and Adam was visibly confused. "Zorina, this isn't funny," he said and the voice chuckled. "This isn't Zorina," the voice said and the line disconnected. He turned around and was met with the killer, the killer then sliced his arm that he used to cover himself. Adam then punched the killer and promptly rushed downstairs. The killer followed, grabbing him and stabbing him in the shoulder. Adam pushed the killer off and struck them with a glass cup before rushing outside.

He ran and turned around and the killer seemingly disappeared. He called Zoriana first and she called the police to arrive at the house as well.

When the police car showed up, Ed, Liam, and July came out of it. "Hey, I'm J," July began when Adam interrupted her. "I know who you are," Adam said smiling and she pushed her hair back behind her ear. "The person who attacked you, what did they look like?" July asked and he thought about it. "Ghostface costume, like the rest," he said. July, Ed, and Liam then looked at each other simultaneously. "Tyler can check you out, he's over there," July said and he nodded and walked over there.

"Shit, are you okay?" Zoriana asked, running over to him. He nodded and hugged her. "I'm okay," he said and she released the hug. "I'll find whoever did this and murder them in cold blood," she said and he smiled. "Hey I'm July, and we need to take him in for questioning," she said and Zoriana stood up. "Why the hell did you have to come to our town," Zoriana said and Adam placed a hand on Zoriana's shoulder. "I'll go," Adam said and Zoriana rolled her eyes. "I'm going with you," she said and he nodded
