Run VIII: Fake News

"Uhm Roman, you may want to check James' Instagram," Robert said and Roman rolled his eyes and checked. "What the hell, what is this?" He asked and Robert tilted his head. "Fake news, it's about you being a psycho and how you were the mastermind and taught the past killers everything they knew," Robert said and Roman gritted his teeth. "They don't have a clue what they're talking about," Roman said while biting his nails. "Hey, look, don't worry about those assholes, you're so much better than them, they're just dumb influencers with too much time on their hands," Robert said and Roman smiled. "Yeah, you're right, I need to go talk to July and Zack, coming with?" Roman asked and he nodded.

The two walked down the sidewalk when they were approached by two reporters. "Hello psycho, I mean Roman, what was it like killing those innocent people in the past 25 or so years?" Mitch asked and Roman brushed past him. "Wait! Do you get any instincts to do it again!" Ariana yelled and he turned. "Can you both just fuck off," he said and Mitch smiled. "Now that we have your attention you psycho killer, please tell the audience, what drove you to commit your first act of cruelty?" Mitch asked and Roman crossed his arms. "Oh, my book about you, did you ever get it?" Mitch asked as  Roman took a deep breath. "You wrote about my brother, you said that I killed him and my sister, you also said that I'm crazy and belong in a mental institution," he said and Mitch smiled. "Was I wrong?" He asked and Roman swiftly punched him in his face, knocking him back. "Let's go," Roman said and Robert nodded.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, I'll be home soon," Gabby said to Zoriana over the phone. "Okay, I get it, just let me finish things up, I'll call you back when I get done," Gabby said as she hung up the phone. "Okay Jeremy and Chloe, it's time for bed," she said as she picked Chloe up. "But I don't wanna," Chloe whine and Gabby smiled. "Your parents will get mad at me, just pretend your sleep," Gabby said while tucking them in and they nodded.

She sat down on the couch and turned on the TV waiting for the parents to come back when her phone began to ring. "Hello? Ms. Lordson?" She said on the phone. "Oh no, no, no, no, this isn't her, this is Roman, Roman Land," the voice said over the phone and she stood up. "No the hell your not, he wouldn't do something like this, those rumors are fake," she said and the voice snickered. "I love the disbelief," they said as they hung up the phone. Gabby quickly ran to the kids' room to help them up but they were gone, "No!" She yelled as she turned back around and opened the front door when she was met with a stab to the shoulder. She shut the door and ran to the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife. The killer then opened the door and looked at Gabby.

"Back the fuck up!" She yelled as the killer inched closer to her. "That bitch ass kitchen knife ain't going to do shit," the killer said as she swiped the knife at them, but they ducked. They then stabbed Gabby in the stomach and pushed her onto the ground. The killer then pushed the knife onto her, but she raised her hand and the knife went through her hand instead. She then kicked the killer off of her and ran up the stairs while covering her wound.

She ran up the stairs as the killer followed. She picked up the kids' toys and threw them at the killer as she continued to run. She opened the window and tried to jump out as the killer grabbed her by her neck and dragged her back inside. "Leave me alone asshole!" She yelled as she struggled to get out. "Remember the name, Roman Land," they said as they stabbed her in the stomach twice and she yelped for help. The killer then slit her neck open when they heard a door open. They stabbed Gabby two more times in the heart as they escaped through the window.

"I'm telling you, they never learn," July said as they pushed the body onto the ambulance. "I'm fucked," Roman said as he saw Mitch and Ariana walk toward him. "So I see you got that awakening I was talking about," Mitch snickered and he rolled his eyes. "This wasn't me, but I sure as hell will find out who it was," Roman said and Ariana rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that's what you want people to think," Ariana said and July smiled. "He might not be able to hit girls, but I sure as hell can, this is a crime scene, so leave," she said and they obeyed and moved away. "We got you," July said and Zack agreed. Roman smiled and they checked the crime scene.
