Run: Legacy

Run IX- Again? Again.

Leilani was sitting at the lunch table with her friend group consisting of Devin, Blaze, Mya, Nate, Lya, Samara, Marvin, her boyfriend Grayson, and her best friend Aniya. "What are you guys doing tonight?" Samara asked as everyone looked at her. "I'm going with Blaze for dinner, we haven't had an actual date in a long time," Devin said as Blazers confirmed it. "I'm free," Leilani said as Grayson, Marvin, and Mya also said they were free. "Great, let's hang out at my place," Samara said as they agreed. "Well, lunch is over, see you all later," Leilani said as everyone left.

"It looks amazing, you've outdone yourself," Roman said, looking around the shrine. "It took a long ass time, longer than I expected, but yeah, it does look amazing," July said smiling. Roman then walked up to the stage where the killer's costumes and knives were placed. "I didn't realize how different each costume was," he said, looking at each different one until he saw Don's. The knife was rusted, the mask was faded, and the costume was greyer than it was black. "This thing is really old huh?" Roman said as he placed a hand on the glass case covering it. He then looked at the glass where he saw Don's reflection staring back at him. "Hey bro," Don said as Roman shook his head. "Tonight, someone is going to die, the killer is back," Don said as his reflection faded away. "You good? You look like you've seen a ghost," July said as Roman smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine, I'll call you later," Roman said as he left the shrine, July eyeing him.

"Where the hell is Samantha?" Marvin asked as he sat down on the couch. "How is she going to invite us to hang out and then not show?" Mya said as she opened a can of Sprite. "Well, should we just wait or should we leave?" Grayson asked as Leilani opened her phone. "She said she went to get some snacks and drinks from the store, maybe we should just wait," Leilani said as they all agreed. "I'm going to use the bathroom upstairs, be right back," Leilani said as she walked upstairs.

She entered the bathroom when she got a phone call from an unknown number. "Hello?" She asked as she answered the phone. "Hello Leilani, I have a proposal for you," the voice said as she gained a worried expression. "What is it?" She asked. "I'm going to kill one of your friends tonight, but it's your choice," the killer said as she exhaled. "No, don't hurt them," Leilani said as she exited the bathroom. "Pick one or I'll kill all three of them," the killer said as she exhaled again. "Fine, fine, I don't know, Marvin?" She said questioningly. "Bet," the killer said as they hung up the phone.

The door then began to rattle as the three stood up. "Guys! We need to go!" Leilani yelled as the door came down. "Don't run now," the killer said as they ran toward the four. They all then got up and ran up the stairs. They then ran into Samara's room.

Marvin and Grayson then held the door shut as Leilani and Mya looked for an exit. "Fuck!" Leilani yelled as the killer pushed open the door, knocking Grayson and Marvin back. "Just so you know, Leilani chose this," the killer said as they picked up Marvin by his neck, dangling him in the air. "No!" Leilani yelled as she threw a glass cup that was on Samara's dresser. This didn't phase the killer and Marvin was running out of time. "It's over for you so just give up," the killer said as they spun Marvin around, they then threw him out the window. "Marvin!" Leilani yelled as she looked out the window, Mya and Grayson also looked out the window. Marvin landed on the ground harshly, his head hit a stone, and blood consumed the cement. "It's not your time yet," the killer said as they left.

Samara then showed up at the house. "Uhm what the hell?" She questioned as the three looked at her. "Where the hell were you?" Leilani asked as Samara stuttered. Roman, July, Josh and Mitch then showed up on the scene.

"Fuck he was right," Roman said as July and Mitch eyed him. "Are you four okay?" Mitch asked as the group looked at him. "My friend just died right in front of me, so no, I'm not doing so hot," Leilani said as Mitch exhaled. "I think it's best if you all just go home and sleep today off, give yourself time to process," Mitch said as the four nodded. "Was the person wearing a Ghostface costume by any chance?" Mitch asked as Leilani nodded. "Great," Mitch said sarcastically as he turned to Roman and July.

"It is what we think it is," Mitch said as Roman exhaled. "Of course it is," Roman said as Mitch placed a hand on his shoulder. "We can handle this, together," Mitch said to Roman as Roman smiled at him. "Yeah," Roman said as July nodded. "Another year, another massacre," July said, "sadly," Josh said as the four walked back to July's car.
