Run V: Questioning

"The recent attacks all had clues leading to Roman," Liam said and July shook her head slightly. "Roman wouldn't do this," July said and Liam exhaled. "Remember, it's always someone you know, and think about it, he had no alibi for any of those murders," he said and she thought about it. "Fine, let's take him in for questioning," she said and he nodded.

"Hey Adam, how are you doing?" Cory asked, approaching him. "I should be fine, luckily the killer didn't get me too good," Adam said and Cory smiled. "Conveniently so, you're the only one the killer didn't kill out of all the attacks this year," Cory said and Adam eyed him. "Cory, what are you saying?" Adam asked and Cory smirked. "I'm saying that maybe that whole attack was a setup, to draw all suspicions away from you," he said and Adam scoffed. "Okay Cory, let's play this game of yours, I got myself attacked for no reason because no one thought it was me to begin with, so I put myself in a near-death experience just because," he said and Cory inched closer to him, so he was an inch away. "I've got my eyes on you, Adam," he said, walking away.

Malik sat on his bed, watching TikTok when he received a phone call from an unknown number. "Hello, who's this?" He asked when he answered it. "Hello, Malik, let's play a game," the killer said through the phone. Malik was now alarmed and sat up. "I have your girlfriend Zoriana in a tight spot, easy kill, but ill spare her if you answer my questions," the killer said and Malik stood up. "What kind of sick, twisted game is this, you better leave Zori alone," Malik said and the voice snickered. "This is my game, not yours," the killer said and Malik opened his computer just in case he didn't know the answers. "Hey! No cheating!" The killer said and Malik looked around. "How did you know?" Malik asked and the voice chuckled. "I know everything," the killer said and Malik closed his computer. "Question one, who were the original killers in the first massacre?" The killer asked and Malik thought about it. "Uhmmmm wait I know, Don and Marly Land," he said and the killer paused for a moment, which made Malik question himself, "correct," the killer said and Malik exhaled. "We aren't done, who survived the first massacre?" The killer asked and Malik smiled. "Easy, July, Zack, and Damien," he said and the killer snickered. "Wrong, Abby survived too," the killer said and Malik ran down the stairs. "I'm coming Zori," he said opening the door when he was met with a stab to the shoulder by the killer. He shut the door in the killer's face and ran back upstairs. He opened his window and jumped out of it, he wasn't that far up so it didn't cause any significant damage. He ran away and opened his car door. He shut and locked it as the killer attempted to get in.

Malik called the police and the killer escaped swiftly when he had done so. Malik took a minute to process what happened and shook his head a little to snap himself back into reality.

July arrived with Liam and Zack. "Where was Roman during all of this?" Liam asked and July shrugged. "Haven't been able to get a hold of him recently," July said and Liam nodded. "This is what I mean," Liam said while they continued to walk toward Malik. "I agree, the odds continue to stack up against him," July said and they nodded. "We need to find him, and hold him in one area, murders stop, he's guilty, they continue, he's not," July said and they nodded.
