"Nathan got hit by a bronze axe," Sinense said. "Broke ribs on the other side now, and he's nowhere near healed from the hit on the other side. At least it didn't cave them in."

She'd fallen because of a hit that would've been fatal but was only a nasty bruise because of her armor.

I glued together the top of Sorina's scalp where she'd mostly avoided the spear thrust. Ellie had a concussion besides the gouge along her skull, and Cornelia took care of that wound. Nathan sent her to his tent once she was glued and bandaged, then joined her to rest once his ribs were rewrapped. Ellie had a puky look to her, and Nathan was totally miserable, ribs hurting on both sides now. I wasn't sure how he would sleep.

Half of my men were dead, and over half of the rest were wounded. Everyone was exhausted, but they were putting something together for supper.

Lucien and Ishen were my remaining cavaliers, and we had Ishen's men guarding the camp along with my own. Well...they were all my own, but if Ishen's vows were false, he might be able to take us down right now. However, he was among the walking wounded...Sorina stitched up a couple of wounds he'd received after she tended to Lucian's shoulder. He'd done his part well in taking out the attacking Sobecks, then left immediately after Sorina finished with him to check on his people.
