I kicked myself and wondered how much of a hypocrite I'd be if I told Sorina to come to my room at siesta time today. I didn't know if I was being noble or insecure, but I should've just let us enjoy each other...I guessed...or second-guessed because that's what I was doing.
I sighed.
I'd said at least a week. I should stick to it. I'd survive. It wasn't like I'd had a girlfriend over the summer, though I seemed to have one now, and in a society where the concept of a girlfriend was foreign.
I wasn't ready to get married. I wasn't even sure if Uncle John would keep us here once he arrived or send us home or to some other world of his, assuming that was even a correct assumption for all of his travel. Sorina and I would figure something out. I had a dozen condoms in the first aid kit, and those would last a little while, anyway.
