The following morning, Lord Boian, his wife, their respective retinues, and the contingents already at the keep rode and walked off. That Lord Boian took the attacks personally was of no surprise. Almost a third of Suata had been decimated. His manor could be smoking ruins by the time they arrived, although a few contingents from Bacea were already there.

Along with Boian, one of Lord Bodgan's Primors headed off, leading a similar expedition to the north. They'd split apart north of the dome.

We were officially battling two different fronts. Grigore had been putting this off, especially when only Bogdan was having problems. I'd trumped him last night, and without his wife in attendance later to advise him, details were determined, messengers were sent pretty much in all directions, and he signed off on everything. I wondered what Lady Nicoleta thought about all of this. Would Ellie and I need to watch our backs, or would she be relieved that this was finally happening?
