"What? I mean how? You are on the pills aren't you?"

"How? you are seriously asking me how I got pregnant?"

"Don't you dare turn this around me? You are the one who said you are on the pill so we don't have to worry"

"That's because I was. But we both are educated enough to know these things can fail"

"Are you kidding me right now? I haven't done a Ph.D. in birth control so how on the earth do you expect me to know all this? I don't spend my free time reading about how to prevent getting pregnant"

"It's common sense you idiot"

"Shut up. You have to abort. That's it"

"But... but....my parents would kill me. I can't hide this from them"

"They would kill you either way and I'm sure they would be less angry if you don't have a baby"

"Why can't we get married? We were planning to get married after three years anyway. Let's just do a quick court marriage. That way, I can give birth and no one gets hurt"

"I will. I have just started as a junior CEO. My dad has expectations from me and getting married to a girl because she is pregnant does not look good when I take over his position next year"

"So you prefer your position over myself and your unborn kid"

"Yes. You know what my priorities are. I am not saying I am not going to marry you, but at this point, I can't. We will get married after three years. So just go and get an abortion"

"How can you be so insensitive? This is your blood, your own child"

"Don't try to blackmail me. I don't care whose blood this is. I am not going to become a father at the age of 24 and that's final. If you want to be a mother at the age of 19 go ahead"

"What are you trying to say?"

"I am giving you an option. Either abort this child and we shall get married in three years or give birth to this child but that means we are done. You are on your own. Don't ask me to give my name to this child"

"How can you say something like that? Just because I don't want to kill our unborn child you are breaking up with me?"

"I cannot be seen with a woman who got pregnant before the marriage. It affects badly for my image"

"But this your child as well. I got pregnant before marriage with your child you moron"

"As I said, I don't care. If you want to be with me, this child has to go or if you want this child, I am not going be in your life, simple"

"But, then when people ask me who is the father what am I supposed to say?"

"Look, no one knew about our relationship. So if you said this is my child, I am going to deny that"

"How could you be so heartless?"

"I am being practical and you knew all this while. First I want to be the CEO taking over from my dad next year. Then two years to build my career and in the third year we were going to marry. Then after two years kids"

"Plans can change when the circumstances change. It's not like we are the first people to get pregnant before getting married. This is a modern world"

"My parents are old fashioned, my grandmother is old fashioned. So I cannot hurt them"

"What about my parents? How do you think they would react to the fact that their 19-year-old daughter got pregnant and there is no father?"

"I gave you the option. It's our choice to give birth to this child, not mine"

"Let's get married in the court. No big function, no media has to know"

"Abhiraaj Singh Raizada, you have heard this name haven't you?"

"I know who he is. What does he have to do with us getting married?"

"As his eldest grandson, I cannot simply ignore our family values. I cannot get married to you like this without following proper customs"

"Then let's follow the rituals and everything"

"Are you crazy? The media lives on us. Just a small hunch about their eldest daughter-in-law getting pregnant before marriage is enough to tarnish my dead grandfather's reputation he spent years building"

"Where was your so-called reputation when you followed me for months asking to accept your love? Where was your so-called reputation when took my virginity in a hotel room? I was just over 18 years that time. Where was your co-called reputation when my naked body got pushed against this door each time I come to your office room, answer me, Arnav, answer me now"

"Do not act as I rapped you, Khushi Kumari Gupta. Whatever happened between us was mutual. I fell in love with you does not mean you can disrespect me"

"Disrespect? You are the one who is disrespecting this relationship"

"Look who is talking, when I promoted you by making Lavanya a junior assistant you never felt like you are disrespecting the person who gave you the job. She fought with me initially for your job. I didn't want to hire you but she assured me you are the best person for this job and you snatched her job"

"That's a different thing, Arnav. It's my career, but here we are talking about your blood"

"Khushi, I am warning you. Do not go for the blood. I trusted you but you lied about the pills. Anyway, what can I expect from a person who lied to her only friend at work to get a promotion"

"I never lied Arnav. I saw an opportunity and I grabbed it. You can't blame me for having high career goals when you yourself are eyeing your dad's chair. But when it comes to you, I only loved"

"Huh, to hell with your love. If you truly loved me, you wouldn't put me in a situation like this. Why can't you simply get an abortion?"

"I can't be a criminal Arnav. Killing this will make both of us criminals. I am ready to sacrifice my whole future to raise this kid. I only need his or her father to be present in their life"

"I am sorry Khushi, I cannot ruin my family's reputation for a child I never wanted. My grandmother and dad will never allow this"

"You are a grown-up, why can't you decide on your own?"

"I can't. My family's reputation matter to me more than you"

"Had I known how spineless a man you are I would never have gone out with you"

"Get the hell out of my office Khushi. I should have kicked your middle-class ass out of my life sooner. Maybe this is your plan all along. Get pregnant with my kid so that you have a luxurious life ahead"

"Shut up. Not a word Mr. Raizada. I will be ok, but without you. I will raise this kid on my own. I will save you from being a criminal. Consider that as my payback to you.  I will leave your life forever"

"Good. Do not ever cross paths with me because I will ruin you"

"Goodbye, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada"

"Goodbye, Miss. Khushi Kumari Gupta"

Khushi walked out of Arnav's cabin with tears in her eyes. She will now have to face this world alone. Her parents will never accept her after this.

Her sister was right when she said it will only take a second to do a mistake, but you will spend your whole life correcting that mistake.
