"I am leaving"
"Khushi, listen to me. Don't make a scene here"
"Don't drag me into your personal matters Arnav. I don't want to be in the middle. I am leaving"
"Listen to me, Khushi. If you leave now, she'll see you and she's going to create havoc. So at least let her leave first"
"That's not my problem. You deal with your fiance and I am going to deal with my life"
"As you wish. But I should warn you, Sheetal can be a handful. So don't come back to me with any complaints"
"Thank you for the warning"
Saying that Khushi turned around and walked out of the restaurant. She couldn't walk more than a few steps when she heard a voice behind her.
"Excuse me, where do you think you are going?"
"Oh, hello Miss. Sheetal. I am ..... I just...."
"Arnie wanted you to have dinner with him so that he can discuss business and you trying to avoid him? How dare you"
"Actually, I was....."
"Listen, he is my fiance, and this business he is building soon going to be mine. So I cannot let you waste a cent. Get back inside and help him with whatever the things he needs help with"
"Believe me, me leaving now won't make much difference"
"Khushi Kumari Gupta. If my fiance said he has a business with you, that means he has a business. Unless he asked you to leave, do not walk away"
"I told him I am leaving"
"And did he give you permission to leave?"
Khushi hated this woman. She is the textbook definition of annoyance. Usually, girls are very possessive about their fiance going out with other girls, but this one keeps pushing her toward him. It didn't take long for Khushi to realize this woman is not after Arnav but after his money and fame.
"I am sorry, Miss. Sheetal. I will go back in"
"That's more like it. Tell him I am waiting in the pub. When you are done, ask him to come and meet me here"
"Ok. I will"
Saying that Khushi walked back into the restaurant.
"Can I say it now?"
Arnav saw Khushi walking back in and asked. Khushi saw the smirk on his face. As much as she wanted to punch that smirk away, she controlled herself considering her surrounding, instead she asked,
"Say what?"
"I told you so"
"She is waiting for you in the pub. Eat something, then go and meet her. I will have something and leave too"
"Since we both have to eat, let's have a seat. I am sure we both are adult enough to survive a dinner"
Khushi was feeling hungry and the nice aroma of food around the restaurant was making it worse. What worse can happen? Thinking that Khushi node yes and both of them sat at a table far away from the pub.
"What would you like to have mam and sir?"
The waiter took their order and left leaving Aranv and Khushi alone at the dinner table.
"So what's with this Sheetal? Why are you avoiding her?"
"We aren't here to small talk Khushi"
"Look, you said we are adult enough to survive a dinner, and I can't simply sit here and look around like a puppet. So either you let your ego down or I am going to walk away"
