Chapter 35

"No no no, you can't do this. Don't you know who I am? I am Anirudh Singh Raizada. One call to your commissioner and all your jobs will be gone. Come on, tell me your price"

"Mr Raizada, did you just try to bribe a police officer? I recommend you to be silent because you just added another offence to your list of crimes"

"Crimes? You can't be serious. I didn't do anything. I helped to remove a basted from this country"

Arnav walked in front of Anirudh and put his pointing finger on Anirudh's chest and then said,

"He was not a basted dad. He was my son. He had a father"

"Oh come on Arnav, you are crying for a baby who you didn't even know existed two days ago"

"I would have known if you didn't manipulate the evidence. I know I didn't believe her at first, but if you didn't poison my mind against her, I would have searched for her and the kid would still be alive"

Khushi who was silent this whole time walked toward Anirudh and stood next to Arnav. 

"Mr Raizada, I never planned on coming to Delhi ever again. I was planning on moving to a different country with my child. But because of you I lost my child and I invested all my savings into the studio to help underprivileged kids. If not for your evil plan, I wouldn't be standing before you today"

"But...but.. you were carrying his baby and you agreed for the money. How could I think you would stay away when the kid was born, you wouldn't go to the media asking for child support?"

"When you offered me that money, I didn't know I was pregnant and I thought it was best for me to leave Arnav considering the difference in our family backgrounds. But as soon as I knew I was pregnant I went to Arnav to talk to him. But it was too late"

"So you weren't planning on claiming the Raizada surname for your kid?"

"I never wanted anything from anyone. When I left Delhi that day, I planned never to come back. Why would I cut off all my relations including with my parents otherwise?"

Shalini was listening to everything and as soon as she heard the part where Khushi had stopped talking to her parents, she was stunned. Shanili walked to Khushi and turned her around.

"So you haven't spoken to your parents since then?"

"No Mrs Raizada. They knew about my child from my sister and they disowned me after that"

"Oh my god child, that is not good. Don't worry, once this man is out of our lives, we will go and talk to your parents together. And also, please call me Maa, I am like your mother"

Khushi always wondered where Arnav got his softer side since every family member she knew from his family only shared one common thing, anger. His mother is the sweetest of all. After a long time, Khushi felt a ray of sunshine at the end of the dark tunnel. 

"Sorry to disturb your family reunion but don't you want to know how I got the idea of you trying to claim the Raizada surname?"

Everyone turned their attention to Anirudh. 

"Give me a second officer, if I am going behind bars, I want to make sure everyone involved in this goes down with me"

Saying that Anirudh walked towards the others. 

"Miss Gupta, do not trust your brother-in-law. He was the one who told me about your pregnancy"

"We know that Mr Raizada"

"Then he must have also told you about how he took money from me?"

"We know that also Dad. Who do you think became the legal witness for this case? Shyam agreed to testify against you for a reduced sentence. So if you don't have anything else, officers take him away"
