When you say Nothing at All

Chapter 10

Flashback:

Arnav started eating his scone as soon as Khushi left his cabin. He didn't have any meetings to attend. He just wanted to be alone. He only took one bite and maybe it could be the out-of-this-world taste or the feeling that she bought this for him, and his anger started melting away.

"I shouldn't have talked to her like. She has a point and marriage is not something we can take simply. I should go and say sorry for my behavior"

Thinking that Arnav quickly finished his scone and walked toward Khushi's cabin. He was glad Lavanya was off for a coffee break so no one will suspect anything.

Much to his surprise, he saw her cabin door closed. Normally Khushi has her door open.

"Poor Khushi may be crying inside because of my rude behavior"

Arnav increased his pace and was about to open the door when he heard his father's voice inside her cabin. Although at first, he thought of walking in as soon as he heard his father saying one million, he pulled his hand back from the lock.

Arnav couldn't believe his ears when he heard Khushi accepting his father's terms. She chose to take money to leave him rather than stand up for them in front of his father. His anger which was gradually melting started building back up. This time, it was stern as frozen lava.

Arnav walked away from her cabin and went out of the building to get some fresh air. The only person he let into his life broke his trust behind his back and she was even ready to leave him without a proper goodbye.

"How could you Khushi? You proved I mean nothing to you with your action. I would have given the world for you if you have said no to my dad"

Arnav spent a few more minutes trying to calm himself down before walking back in. He saw one of his staff rushing toward him.

"Sir, Miss. Khushi was taken to the medical room"

"What?"

"Yes, she passed out so Miss. Lavanya and Mr. Patil carried her to the medical room"

Arnav's first instinct was to rush to the medical room to check up on Khushi but then he remembered the betrayal.

"Thank you for letting me know"

Saying that he walked back into his cabin.

"You can fool me once Khushi, but not again. You have seen the best of me yet but now you wait and watch what I do to you"

Flashback End

Khushi walked out of the office. She didn't know where to go and remembered the little cafe she went to this morning. Maybe having some alone time over there can help her decide what to do. Crying here won't help her anymore. She made the mistake.

She was the one who didn't listen to her parents and started this job, she was the one who seduced Arnav, she was the one who made him take the first step, she cheated on her friend, she lied to her parents, she lied to Arnav, she lied to everyone.

When finally Arnav was ready to take this relationship seriously by giving it a name, she chose money over him.

"Khushi? What a surprise. Looks like you enjoyed my scones"

Khushi's chain of thoughts broke when she heard Payal's voice.

"Hi, yes. They were nice. Thank you"

"What would you like to eat? I make a mean papaya salad. Feel like one?"

"Papaya? No, I can't eat papaya"

"Oh I am sorry, are you allergic?"

"No, I am pregnant"
