"Khushi... Khushi.... can you hear me?"

Khushi heard a familiar voice and slowly opened her eyes to see Lavanya standing next to her. She then moved her head around to see where she was.

"Where am I?"

"You are in the medical room"

"Hospital?"

"No, no, the company medical room. You passed out remember?"

Khushi suddenly remembered everything that happened. Anirudh's conversation with her, how she agreed to his terms, and how she walked out of her cabin.

"Lavanya, I... I... made a mistake, a big mistake that I can never correct"

Saying that she took Lavanya's hands and started crying.

"Khushi, let's talk later ok. See, the doctor is coming back. I'll be outside ok"

Lavanya left the medical room letting the doctor continue.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Doctor, what happened to me?"

"I took your blood sample and nothing to worry about. Everything is normal. But I think you should call your Ob/Gyn and book a check-up. Don't worry, everything else seems fine but just to be on the safe side book an appointment or shall I call and book one? Who is your Ob/Gyn?"

"My what?"

"You have an Ob/Gyn don't you?"

"No, I don't doctor"

"Mrs. Gupta, you should be more mindful of this situation. Pregnancy is not something you should take lightly"

"I am pregnant? No, no. That can't be a true doctor. I am on the pill. I took it this morning as well. And, it's Miss. Gupta"

Doctor took a few seconds and understood the situation.

"Miss.Gupta, are you involved with someone?"

"Yes, I am doctor. But I am on the pill"

"You do know pills can fail"

"But..... I can't be. I am only 19"

"I am sorry Miss. Gupta but you are 8 weeks pregnant. You didn't have the normal symptoms because you were on the pill. But you should stop taking it right away because it can harm to fetus and yourself"

"Doctor I think there is a mistake"

"Miss. Gupta, we checked your blood sample. A store-bought pregnancy test can go wrong but not a proper medical blood test. You are 8 weeks pregnant and I think it's better if you talk to the father of the child to discuss this"

Khushi left as her whole world collapsed. This morning she declined the marriage proposal from Arnav for the hundredth time making him not talk about it until he is CEO. Then she accepted a monetary offer from his father to leave him forever and now she is pregnant with Arnav's child. In less than 12 hours, she went from happy to lucky 19 years old teenager to a mother.
