"I still think you should continue your studies, Khushi"

"No papa, I know how hard you work. I don't want you to continue working anymore. It's my chance to support you"

"But Khushi, you just turned 18. Who would give you a job? Listen to me and complete your studies"

"Papa, the diploma I have is enough for this position. It's assisting the personal assistant. So you don't need a Ph.D. for that"

"I feel like I am ruining your life"

"Khushi, listen to your father. You see how your sister's life turned out. Had she listened to your father, she wouldn't have been married to that animal"

"Mom, that's her life, her choice. You think he is an animal but she is happy. So let her live her life and let me live mine"

Khushi's parents knew arguing with her won't go anywhere. Khushi is not a person who would listen to anyone.

In a way, her mother is happy that she is taking responsibility as her dad's health is decreasing daily.

Khushi finished her undergraduate diploma in business management and applied for a position at Raizada Group as assistant to the personal assistant of the junior CEO of the company.

Lavanya Kashyap interviewed Khushi and was impressed with her industry knowledge. Khushi got a job offer on the same day. Her starting salary is double what her father was earning.

Lavanya informed Khushi how this junior CEO will soon be the company CEO and how Lavanya will be promoted to Executive Assistant for the CEO.

With Lavanya's promotion, Khushi will also be promoted with a higher pay rise. She couldn't have asked for a better position than this and she wasn't going to let it go.

Khushi took her phone out and called her sister. Her sister, Anjali Jha (neē) Gupta is married to a struggling lawyer Shyam Jha. Shyam and Anjali fell in love with the law college. Anjali gave up her dream to become a lawyer and decided to get married without finishing her studies.

Khushi's parents never liked Shyam. They believe Anjali could have done better. Her parents tried their best to make Anjali understand not to drop out of college but Anjali being blinded by love decided to do so. She got married to Shyam against her parents and, her parents disowned her from the family.

"Di, how are you?"

"I am good Khushi. How are you?"

"Di, I have good news. I got a job"

"What? A job? But then your higher studies?"

"I don't want to study further Di. This job pays well and the company has career growth programs. So I can grow well within the company"

"But Khushi, I don't want you to do the same mistake I did"

"Di, is everything ok?"

"Shyam got fired again. Remember I told you that he started this new job at a construction law firm and they even offered him a good package? "

"So? what's the problem there? I thought he was happy there. You said yourself last time"

"They wanted him to work weekends for the next 6 months because they were dealing with a big client. Raizada group"

"Raizada group? Di, it's the same company I am starting with tomorrow"
