When you say Nothing at All

Chapter 13

"Good Morning Mr. Raizada, welcome to Pune"

"Thank you"

"Do you want to go to your hotel first or do you want me to take you to the office"

"Take me to the office first. I need to finish some meetings. Aman, after that you can go with him and get us checked in. Then meet me back at the office"

"Ok ASR, I will. Do you want me to book a restaurant for lunch?"

"Yes, book something near the office. I have a busy day today so don't have time to run around the city"

The driver dropped Arnav off at the Raizda Group's Pune branch office and drove off with Aman to the hotel.

"Good Morning Sir, welcome to the office. The whole staff is very excited to see you after a long time"

"Thank you. Is my cabin ready?"

"Yes Sir. We kept it as it is. How is Anirudh, sir? We all miss him"

"He is good. Enjoying the retirement"

The staff took him to his cabin and Arnav started his meetings within a few minutes he got swamped with work and didn't realize he received an email from Lavanya.

"ASR, you have less than 15 minutes for the meeting. What do you mean you didn't see my email"

"As I said, I was busy with meetings all day and didn't get time to read my emails. And why would you send it to my personal email? You know Aman doesn't have access to that"

"ASR, you said yourself before leaving to do so"

"Damn it. Ok, where about this meeting?"

"It's near your hotel but far from the office"

"Text me the details of the meeting. I sent Aman to the hotel to grab some files from my bag. So I'll ask him to attend the meeting until I am there"

"I'll let them know about it but you think Aman can handle that?"

"He has been with us for over three years now. So if he cannot handle a meeting opening for five minutes, he should be fired right away"

Lavanya disconnected the call and called the person who organized this meeting for her to inform her about the delay.

Arnav grabbed his laptop and rushed to the carpark.

"I need to go to this address before 2.00"

"Sir, this is 20 to 30 minutes away from here. It's already past  1.45. So we cannot reach before 2.00"

"I'll double your salary if you try"

The driver started the car and hit the accelerator. If his salary is getting doubled then paying a few fines won't make a difference.

"Sir we are here. I tried my best sir"

Arnav looked at the watch and saw it was only a few minutes past 2.00 pm.

"You did well. I will talk to the accountant. Don't wait for me. I will come back with Aman"

"Ok Sir"

The driver left the building thinking about why people are so afraid of Arnav when he is this great human. 

"Mr. Aman, we may be a small business but we also have values. If your boss cannot respect our time, we shouldn't be doing business at all"

"Mam, I am sorry, my boss got really busy today and he wanted me to come here and greet you all. If he didn't value your time, he wouldn't have sent me here"
