Toby Meets Mom

Your POV:

I woke up coughing water, it burned as it came back up which made it even worse. When my eyes finally focused on pretty much anything and everything I saw my mom and Toby leaning over me with worried expressions. "(Y-Y/n)?" My mom stuttered. I reached out and grabbed her hand and she hugged me, Toby didn't look pleased that I was hugging her back. "My baby... You're alright... I thought... I thought you died!" She sobbed making me hug her tighter.

"Nope, just... Uh... Became a murderer... Surprise!" I said laughing awkwardly a bit at the end.

"What?"

"(Y/n). No." Toby warned as he stood up.

"And who's this?" She asked a bit agitated now.

"This is Toby... My boyfriend..."

"Is he now?"

"(Y/n)! We gotta go!" He said through clenched teeth.

"Mom I'm really sorry but I've got to go." I went to get up but she grabbed my hand.

"Please don't leave me again..." She said as tears rolled down her cheeks. I stared at her then looked at Toby who rolled his eyes and sat down on the floor resting his head in his hand, I smiled at him then hugged my mom. I had no idea I could miss her this much, she felt like the only piece of true happiness and sanity I had left. I heard static and my eyes widened, "Mom I really have to go now, I'll visit you later just... I can't stay." I kissed her on the cheek then pulled my mask down and started to follow Toby who was already out the window, "I love you." I said then jumped out.

As I was walking back with Toby he seemed more agitated than usual, "What's up?" I asked as I picked up the pace to keep up with him.

"I don't think your mother liked me very much." He muttered.

"Well yeah you're the first boy I've brought home, plus the fact that she thought I was dead for what the last maybe year or so doesn't help."

"I didn't do anything to her why does she hate me?"

"Toby Rogers! You really care if my mother likes you?" I stopped waking and put my hands on my hips and leaned forward a bit.

"Wha- no! Of course I don't! She's just a human anyway what do I care?" He wouldn't look at me.

"Have it your way then." I kept walking until we were back at the mansion.

I knew the fact that my mom didn't like him bothered him, but some things he needs to learn himself. Stubborn ass...
