"I know... it's just..." She dozed off, unable to describe her feelings accurately to Jeongguk.
"Hard." He finished for her, his voice was as smooth as honey.
His calm demeanor somehow facilitated her.
He was the refreshing sunshine after a disastrous storm, the calm waves of the passive blue sea after a tragic tsunami. He was so gentle, it almost encouraged her to pour her wretched heart out onto his shoulder.
"It is." She quietly agreed, almost missing the warm feeling his hands brought when they held onto her trembling ones.
The look in his soft eyes suddenly shifted into hard stone, like an obsidian crystal gleaming in the light. "I could help you forget about him." He said confidently, but also so quietly, she almost thought she heard him wrong.
But, she heard him.
Her heart pounded against her chest once, swallowing her saliva to moisten her dry throat. "Can you really?"
"First, why don't we get your grade up, okay?" Jeongguk said, loud and clear this time. "I really want you to pass your classes, especially this one. And I'll be here to help you, Hanni."
