Zacks POV

I let out a groan as I open my eyes, staring back up at the white ceiling again. "I don't have the energy" I mumble, and hear Leo chuckle from across the room.

With a sigh, I sit up from my lying position on the couch and place my feet on the ground as I stare over at Leo. He's at his desk typing on his laptop, looking completely focused.

I sigh for the millionth time today and stand up from the couch. "Wish me luck" I mutter, walking towards the door. Leo glances away from his work and stares at me instead.

"Come here and I'll give you a goodbye present," Leo says, beckoning me over with his hand. I roll my eyes playfully. "How are you always horny?" I ask, and he just grins.

"It's a special side only you bring out of me," Leo tells me as I open the door. I step out and leave, only allowing myself to smile once I'm positive he can't see it.

I walk down to the bar, spotting Henry and Gabriel immediately. They're talking at the bar- well, laughing.

I check the time on my phone, seeing it's only five pm. Time to open the doors and start. I groan again. Fuck my life.

***

I clean up the spilt vodka on the bar top with a cloth, glaring as I do it. I don't even care about the small bit of vodka that spilled. I'm pissed off by the entitlement some assholes feel.

I hear a choir of laughter and look over seeing a group of five guys sitting at the bar. Henry in front of them, pouring shots for them.

I immediately feel pity for him. There's nothing worse than having to deal with a group of five half-drunk guys who think they're funny.

I debate leaving him to deal with it- every man for himself after all. But I eventually decide to be a good person for once and help since I have nothing else to do.

With a sigh, I walk over to Henry. He has his back turned to me, so I lightly nudge his arm to get his attention. The idiot fucking jumps with fright, and I have to hold back my laugh.

He turns to me. "You need help? Groups are always a pain in the ass" I say, glancing at the group right in front of us. They don't seem to hear me. Unfortunately.

"I'm fine" Henry whispered, shooting me a small smile before walking away to go pour a beer.

I stand still, confused at why his eyes looked bloodshot.

I watch him as he walks back over, now with a pint of beer in his hand. He walks past me, not sparing me a glance. He hands the glass to one of the guys.

Clearing my throat, I step away a bit and begin wiping down the bartop. In reality, I'm eavesdropping.

"So Henry..." I eventually hear. "You really hurt us when you left. Thought we were friends?"

I roll my eyes. Of course Henry teared up at seeing his old friends. Typical.

"We haven't seen you since junior year" Another person says. I scowl at myself. No way in hell am I eavesdropping on Henry's friendship reunion. I go to walk away.

"It's been two years..I wonder if you still cry when you get hit".

I stop in my place.
