Zack's POV
I wince a bit from the sharp pain, trying to distract myself with something, and not focus on Leo who's currently stitching my skin back together.
I'm sitting up on his bed while he straddles my hips, and stitching up the gash on my forehead from getting pistol-whipped by that one fucker.
It hurts more than I thought it would, but I'm trying to not let it show. Leo looks very focused- and serious. It's odd.
"How did find me so quickly?" I ask quietly. We fell into a peaceful silence over the last ten minutes, and I feel a bit bad breaking it.
"You ran past Henry. He was getting food somewhere. He was confused and followed you. Arrived just in time to see you get stuffed into a car. When the car sped away he found your phone, keys and your watch in the alley. He rang me using your phone and explained" Leo says, and I look at him confused.
"How did he know my password?" I ask. Leo chuckles. "Everyone knows your phone password darling. It's zero, zero, zero, zero" Leo says, a small smile appearing on his face.
I roll my eyes. "Dick" I mutter, and he hums, ignoring me. "So my phone is okay?" I double-check, and Leo laughs this time. "Yes, it's fine". I release a breath of relief, which only seems to humour him more.
"What did you do then?" I ask. "Well, I was on my way over anyways. Henry called, I pulled over. Found you through street cameras, and was right on your tail minutes later" He says, cutting a piece of string I'm trying to forget is sewn into my skin.
"You went alone. That was dumb" I mumble. "It would have taken time to get a team. Plus, I knew the longer I made you wait, the more you'd bitch about it" He tells me, glancing at me with a small grin on his face. I grin back. "I'm never letting you live it down," I tell him, and he chuckles. "That's fair".
I sigh, staring at him while he seems to be finished with the stitches. "But it's also not your fault" I remind him for the millionth time.
He glances at me, a small smile on his face. He cups the side of my face gently in his hand, and I watch as he slowly leans in.
His lips press against mine, but they don't move. He seems to sigh before he slowly moves his lips against mine in such a gentle way, it has fucking butterflies forming in my stomach.
He leans his forehead against mine, and I slightly tilt my chin up for a better angle.
Kissing Leo is always a joy. He makes every kiss as memorable as the last. And whether is rough and heated or so gentle it's cute, he always leaves me breathless.
Leo pushes away a few centimetres, leaving our faces close. "It's not going to happen again, Zack. If it does, I'll let you shoot me yourself" He whispers against my lips, and I hum.
"I don't need your permission to shoot you" I whisper back, causing a grin to form on his lips.
I lean back in, placing a quick kiss on his lips. "I love you" I whisper, and he hums. "Love you too". I can't help but smile.
I have no clue what the fuck happened between us earlier.
Sure, I insult him a lot, and in return, he pisses me off more. But it's always in a joking way. Earlier, we were actually arguing.
I was scared, and taking it out on him in the form of anger. While he was doing the exact same thing.
But I'm glad we're back to normal. Leo being angry and yelling just..seems so wrong. Because it is wrong. Leo is never angry. At least..not at me.
"I'm gonna go shower," Leo tells me, and I glance down at his shirt. It's now dried, and what was one red blood has turned to a ugly brown.
I grimace and shove him. "Ew!- get off me" I scowl, not wanting some dead person's blood on me.
