Zack's POV

I scowl, watching Leo take a seat at the bar in front of me. "Don't you have anything better to do?" I mutter, aggressively drying the glass I'm holding with a white cloth.

He smirks. "I know how much you love my company". I roll my eyes. "You're delusional" I mumble. "You're in denial".

I glare at him, putting the now-dry glass down just as our previous conversation pops into my head.

"Please answer my question," I say. He chuckles. "You're certainly persistent. I'll give you that". I place both my elbows on the bar, leaning forward. "I'm curious. And I need answers," I tell him. Leo simply chuckles, looking amused. Asshole.

"I won't tell anyone. I'm very chill" I shrug.  "Kinda" I mumble afterwards. "You are far from chill, darling" Leo laughs. I scowl. That stupid fucking name again.

"Don't fucking call me that" I tell him. "Proving my point" He smiles.

"You purposely agitated me. Doesn't count" I shrug, before leaning in. "Come on. I won't tell anyone" I say, desperate for answers. He looks at me, smirking. I then realize just how close we are. I move back quickly.

"I'm not a snitch. I know enough shit to get half the people in here arrested. Yet I don't say anything. Why? Because I don't give a shit what you do, I just wanna know" I groan, hoping he realises how desperate I am. But then again, he's an asshole. He probably is finding joy in this.

"I'll tell you someday," Leo says, looking at me, his eyes holding a promise. I groan.

He smiles. "Cheer up darling".

I glare at him. I fucking hate that name.

"Um, Zack..." I groan, not in the mood for this.

I turn, seeing Henry standing there with his eyes on the ground, looking nervous. I scowl. This fucker.

"I'm sorry-"

"Don't even start" I mutter, turning away and cleaning the bar top with a cloth. This fucker missed the last three days of work and has the audacity to start with this 'sorry' shit.

"My girlfriend dumped me," He says. "I can understand why" I mumble. Leo snorts, reminding me he is still in fact here.

Sighing, I turn to face Henry again. "Listen, I don't give a crap who hurt your little heart. You show up with some bullshit excuse one more fucking time and I'll grab a glass bottle and shove it so far up your ass I can screw the damn top on from your mouth, understand?". He nods his head immediately.

I raise an eyebrow. "Understood" He whispers, and I nod. Asshole.

"You can't not show up to work whenever your girlfriend of one day dumps your sorry ass. You show up to your damn job, or do me a favour and make my life easier, and quit" I tell him. Henry nods. "I'm sorry".

"You better fucking be. Now get your shit together before I murder your cat". He looks up, fear in his eyes. "Elo?" He whispers. I hum.

He quickly runs off, and I roll my eyes. "Ignore that," I say to Leo, who is still sitting there. He didn't magically disappear like I had hoped.

"I think we just found my new biggest turn on" He says, and I snicker. "Is the only thing you think about sex?" I say, and he shrugs. "I wouldn't say the only thing but it's certainly up there on the list". I laugh. At least he's honest.

"Is that a problem for you darling?" He then says. I smile. "Nah" I shake my head, leaning forward on the bartop so our faces are closer like I'm about to tell a secret. Leo, intrigued, leans in too, turning his head slightly so I can whisper in his ear.

"Because that would make me a hypocrite. And no one likes a hypocrite" I whisper, and he hums, a grin making its way to his face.

"Four beers please!" Someone yells, and I lean back, walking away feeling his eyes on me the whole time.
