AMANDA

AFTER KYLE DROPPED me off, I did the second part of the walk of shame to our shared apartment. My car was safely parked in the yard so it only meant Lisa was in there somewhere.

I unlocked the door careful not to make too much noise. A sigh of relief left my mouth when I didn't spot Lisa in the dining room.

"She's probably having fun with some poor unsuspecting guy." Tiptoeing towards my room, I was careful not to make too much noise that might alert her of my presence. It was silly that I was even acting like a teenager creeping back into the house after sneaking out to a party.

"Why are you sneaking?" I yelped, jumping up with fear.

"Jesus Lisa! What the hell is wrong with everyone trying to scare me to death today?" She came out of the kitchen carrying an overly stuffed and nearly spilling sandwich that made my mouth salivate.

"Nice sandwich. Let me grab a knife." I slid past her into the kitchen, kicking off my heels on the way.

"Where are you coming from young lady? Do you know how worried I was?" I rolled my eyes. She probably realized I wasn't there this morning when she was sober and satisfied.

"I sent you a text."

"You call that an explanatory text? A simple 'Catch you at home'. That didn't sound like you at all. I thought they had kidnapped you and then started pretending to be you." I couldn't help but laugh at the outrageous look on her face.

"You do realise you're overreacting right?" She snorted handing over the sandwich and then I proceeded to cut a big chunk of it.

"Yeah. Are you kidding me? That's too much." She exclaimed taking the other half. More like a quarter.

"I'm hungry. Learn to share." I took a big bite moaning at the wonderful taste in my mouth.

"Didn't the guy feed you after having his way with you?" I choked on my food.

"Wait. What guy? Having his...whoa nothing like that happened."

"Oh okay did you have your way with him? Poor guy." Thinking of Kyle as a poor guy was laughable. I giggled.

"Stop saying that. Nobody had their way with anybody. Nothing of that sort happened. Jesus." She sipped her lemon tea.

"So are you telling me you spent the night with a guy and nothing happened? Either the guy is totally gay or he's been castrated. That's the only logical explanation." This time I choked for real and hard. She pat my back unenthusiastically and pushed her cup of tea towards me. I gaped at her when I was okay.

"Where do you get all of that? Seriously. But trust me though I'm sure Kyle is neither of those two." She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Kyle huh?"

I sighed suddenly feeling confused.

"Yeah."

"So...where were you?" She asked.

"He came to the party to talk to me and we ended up arguing, like we always do. Then I asked him about Samantha being his girlfriend and he denied saying they were just friends then it started raining and we ended up going to his house. Then this morning we fought then made up again. Then he brought me home."
