AMANDA"WE'RE OKAY." HE said and I knew he was referring to our very late night phone call. I bit my lip, looking away to stop from breaking my face with my grin. And besides, we were in the hospital and we had company.
But I just couldn't stop looking at him. He looked so delectable I was more than just a little ready to tear all his clothes from his body. How could anyone look so good on a daily basis? It had to be a sin for him to be walking around like the temptation he was, grabbing the attention of every warm blooded female.
I narrowed my gaze at that thought. I didn't like the thought of anyone ogling him like I did. Especially when they imagined grazing their teeth over the espace of his chest. I swallowed hard and of course he caught on to that.
"Is everything okay?" He asked addressing each and everyone of us who had their jaws plummeted on the floor. But although he asked us, I had no doubt he was explicitly talking to me.
"Peaches. It's all peaches out here. And blood. Lots and lots of blood rushing to our faces...." Mildred rambled and I had never wanted to hit someone so much. But I couldn't do anything because I was just as entralled.
"Right."
He drawled the word and I wanted to crumble to the floor.
For the last time, snap out of it woman and have some damn dignity!!
I could hear my subconscious. Of course I did.
"Well then, don't linger in the lobby for too long. We have work to do. Mildred and Shantel, you're with me today. Let's meet in the staff room in five for a brief report." He said his voice sounding like it was smooth jelly on my ears. His eyes never left mine during all that time.
"Yes Doctor Kyle." He nodded then winked at me before turning around to leave. We slowly and shamelessly turned our heads towards him, watching his retreating form. Shantel whistled after him and Mildred dramatically sighed.
"Now that is one hell of a man right there. I've been drinking from this well for months now and somehow I'm still parched." She said plucking her lips.
"Yes! He's like the fountain of temptation."
Brianne's words finally brought my head to the present and away from Kyle's tantalising behind. My eyes went over to the girls who were also checking his behind out too. I frowned then hit every one of them at the back of their heads, finally bringing their own attention away from my boyfriend.
"Ouch. What was that for?" Shantel cried out.
"Yeah. I'm wondering the same thing. What did we do?" Brianne asked while rubbing the back of her head.
"Oh don't act so surprised and innocent. You all are acting like teenagers on a hormone intake or something. You can't be out here behaving like this. Especially in the hospital. It's unethical and unprofessional! Have some dignity yooh."
Haibo!
But then again, what the hell did I know about maintaining professionalism? I had graduated from that course with a zero point zero G.p.
They stared at me like I had grown another head. I ignored Mildred from the corner of my eye when she narrowed her gaze suspiciously at me.
