KYLE

THE CAT AND mouse game Amanda and I were playing was literally getting on my nerves. In other words she was playing. Why I played along was beyond me. It annoyed the living daylights out of me, just watching her from a distance. The attention following her around didn't go unnoticed by me.

I watched her as she waved to a waitress who came over to her. I was always watching her. I shoved down the jealousy and annoyance I felt thinking of that idiot Keith going anywhere near her.

With his hands on her. Especially in that dress that had to have been made to test my control. It would be my ultimate downfall.

Amanda made her way down the hallway and I figured she was going to the bathroom. I debated on whether to follow her but decided against the thought as soon as it took root in my head. It was too risky. Especially since we were in Samantha's house.

The last thing I wanted was for her to see me doing something that might damage the relationship we both had. I was already doing too much. I tried focusing my attention on the conversation I was having but that only lasted a few minutes straight.

My mind was already elsewhere when a figure caught my attention from the corner of my eye. I followed her ascent as she went up the stairs. I was salivating at the way her hips swayed under the dress. My trousers tightened even further it was nearly painful.

"...Kyle are you even listening? Did you even hear anything I've been saying the past few minutes?" I frowned looking at the woman grabbing onto my arm like a leech. Instantly I shrugged her off as gently as I could.

I was trying not to seem rather rude or end up offending her. I shifted my body slightly so I wasn't pressed up against her.

How did that even happen?

She must have noticed my withdrawal because her face changed a little. The scowl wasn't a good look on her.

"Why do you think I wasn't listening?" I absolutely had no idea what she was even talking about.

"It's because you had that far away look in your eyes." It was basically because I had been bored out of my mind. Luckily for me, boredom was something I didn't feel even the tiniest bit when I thought of or saw Amanda.

"What is it? Is something wrong? Are you okay?"

"Work stress."

I didn't care if my explanation wasn't adequate. I wasn't in the mood to deal with her. The only thing on my mind was sneaking around like a thief God knows doing what upstairs.

A few minutes had already passed since she went up. Since I was familiar with Samantha it wouldn't raise too many questions if I went up to the upper floors. The woman continued rambling on about God knows what. It was pointless since I had no intention of listening to her. I was probably acting like an asshole but that was the least of my worries.

"...you know this is starting to be intolerable. I'm busy talking to myse..." I patted her on her shoulder downright tuning her out.

"Excuse me."

I walked around her intent on my target. The woman I had already forgotten her name huffed in anger and annoyance. She was a hair breath away from stomping her feet and storming away.
