Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

The sunrays peeked through the curtain in hyejins room. It was lit up in a bright yellow colour. Yawning, Hyejin bergudingly got up from her bed and padded towards the bathroom to get ready for the new day.

After changing herself to a navy blue jeans and white tee, she headed towards the kitchen for breakfast.

"I'm lazy to cook" hyejin muttered.
She looked around the kitchen for anything to eat. She picked up an apple from the fruit basket that was placed neatly on the table.

"An apple it is" she grabbed her car keys and headed out.

At the office

"There have been no new cases recently. I wonder what the killer's up to " Donghyuck spoke up

"Yah. Don't say that. Isn't that a good thing?" Hyejin nudged him.

"I mean it is but at the same time kinda feels off. I get a weird feeling in my stomach that something big is going to come up." Donghyuck sighed.

"Isn't it funny?" Hyejin spoke.

"What is?" Donghyuck turned his head to look at her face more Clearly.

"I've been living my whole life for a revenge. To find the person who killer my family and all these people, and yet I'm nowhere near. I feel pathetic and embarassed to call myself a police officer." Hyejin scoffed.

"Hey hey. It's not your fault okay? Don't be discouraged. We'll definitely find him." Donghyuck tried to console her.

Hyejin nodded her head in response.
At that time Jaehyun walked in.

"Where was you?" Donghyuck asked seeing him.

"I was after that woman y'all said sounds suspicious. I think she's clean. There's nothing to worry about her." Jaehyun spoke.

"One of my friends marriage was fixed today. He invited us for a treat. So I'll get going. Hyejin don't skip your lunch." With that being said he hurriedly walked out.

Every other officers too got up leaving. Only jaehyun was left with hyejin who was in a deep thought.

"Uhmm" jaehyun cleared his throat.

"Yeah" hyejin looked up at him.

"Uh. You know i-err. I was thinking if you know -eerhh." Jaheyun was struggling and hyejin could Clearly see it.

"What us it?" Hyejin asked.

Jaehyun took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"IfyouarefreetonightIwannatakeyououtonadate." Jaehyun spoke like an express train.

Hyejin who didn't understand a single word looked at him confused.

Jaehyun sighed at her expression.
"Wanna go out on a date with me?" Jaehyun asked mustering up his courage and looking into her eyes.

She smiled at that. She got up from her seat grabbing her bad and heading out.

Jaehyun looked at Hyejin wide eyed. He looked like a puppy who was staring at his owner for food.
'was it a bad timing?' jaehyun thought

Hyejin paused reaching the door.
"8:00pm tonight. You can choose the restaurant." She walked off.

Hearing that Jaehyun's face lit up.
Both of them was smiling ear to ear like idiots for the rest of the day.

After getting home Hyejin was busy picking an outfit for her first ever date. The feeling she had was unable to explain. She smiled to herself.

Her phone rang and it was donghyuck.

"Bitch watcha doin?" Donghyuck asked.

"Your bitch is going on a date." She replied.

"Woahhhhh! Who's that unlucky man."

"You always have to ruin the moment. I'm hanging up."

"Wait wait. Tell me who's the guy" donghyuck asked.

"It's jaehyun." Hyejin replied.
There was a long silence at the other end after those words left her mouth.

"Donghyuck? You there?" Hyejin asked confused at the sudden silence.

"Bwahahahahhahahahaha." Donghyuck was laughing uncontrollable.

"What's so funny dickhead?" Hyejin was annoyed.

"Jaehyun asked you out. Omg I can't I-" he spoke in between his laugh.
"Best of luck. not to you but for Jaehyun. He doesn't know the trap he's fallen into. Bye bichiiiiii"
Donghyuck hanged up the call.

Hyejin rolled her eyes.

It was 7:55  when hyejin was doing final touch up. She wore a baby blue frock that matched her skin tone perfectly and decided to let her wavy hair down.

A horn was heard indicating the arrival of Jaehyun.

They was at the restaurant having small talks in between their food when Jaehyun's phone rang. It was sunghoon.

"Hello"

His smile dissappeared suddenly.

After hanging up the call he looked at her. "They found another body."
