"This is so frustrating" donghyuck rubbed his face with his palms in annoyance. "We went all the way there for nothing. They won't even take our words into consideration saying what we failed one time?" He sighed.

"There's no use in shouting donghyuck. We lost. Now we have to give up on this case." Mr Lee stood up walking away.

Donghyuck scoffed. "Give up? Then we could have done it years ago instead of wasting our lives like this." He replied stomping his feet towards the door out.

"We have many other cases pending because of this. If we can't do it then let's drop it. Investigate other cases. It's not like we lost our job." Jaehyun spoke up.

"I got this job to find the culprit behind my family's murder. I don't think i can give up that easily" Hyejin replied walking her way out.

Sunghoon pursued his lips looking at Jaehyun who was the only one with him left at the office.

Donghyuck was at the Han river. Where he usually comes to free his mind off things. He chugged a whole bottle of soju in one go. Anyone could see that he was drunk.

He sat there looking ahead, mind fuzzy with many thoughts. Tears rolled down his cheeks.

All his life he was dedicated to find the culprit for the sake of Hyejin. After all the things she did for him. He couldn't be more thankful. He would certainly not have been here without her.So where did he go wrong?

He was racking his brain for an answer. But couldn't find anything. The painful memories of his parents clouded his mind. Tears fell down his cheek uncontrollably.
"Such a pathetic life" he muttered scoffing.

At some point he got up and walked towards the car. Too tired to drive , he decided to sleep there.

Back at the office

Mr Lee handed over different files to everyone making them confused.

"You people are assigned with different cases that have been pending. I hope you finish up your work quick." He returned to his office without another word.

"He didn't even ask for donghyuck. Did they fight that bad?" sunghoon spoke up.

"Where is he though? His phone is switched off" Jaehyun asked.

"He must be dead drunk somewhere. He'll come back tomorrow." Hyejin replied.

Hyejin sighed looking at her piled up files.
