I have found so much beauty in the dark as I have found a lot of horrors in light.

Mr.Lee got up looking around

"Where's Donghyuck?"

At the same time donghyuck barged in to the office panting.

"Sorry. I'm late" he spoke in between his heavy breath.

He briefly turned his head to look at Hyejin. Her eyes looked red. He wondered why she was crying

"We've got the footage of the culprit. We have to move fast. Come take a look." Mr Lee spoke up turning the computer screen towards donghyuck.

He watched the footage from the start. Pausing the part where the culprit removed his mask, he zoomed in to make sure he wasn't wrong.
Upon seeing the familiar face his eyes widened.

His eyes flickered towards Hyejin. Now he understood why she had that look.

"Hey. You okay?" He softly spoke moving towards her and rubbing her hands comforting her.

"I can't believe. I thought he was dead." Hyejin spoke, tears rolling down her cheecks uncontrollably.

None of the others knew what was going on and they didn't question about it either.

Donghyuck moved forward to hug the shaking girl. "It's okay. It's not your fault." He rubbed her back slowly trying to calm her down.

"I need some time alone." Hyejin wiped her tears and walked out.

Upon the door closing everyone looked at donghyuck questioningly.
"That's her father who went missing long ago." He sighed.

"Makes sense." Sunghoon nodded his head.

Jaehyun wanted to go and comfort her but chose not to. She needed time alone. He decided to talk to her later.

"Inform this to everyone here. Print some lookout notice with his picture. Let's catch that hell of a bastard." Mr Lee took in a deep breath and walked out, others closely following behind.

"What about Hyejin?" Sunghoon questioned.

"She'll come when she's ready to face her father". Mr lee replied getting into the car.

Time flied by fast and it was already night but for Hyejin it was agonisingly slow. She was at the rooftop. Her nose was a hue of red due to the cold wind the blew past her. She couldn't cry anymore.

Her phone rang indicating a call from donghyuck.

"Hey. We've caught him."

Hyejin didn't speak anything. She ended the call and went down to see her father.

Upon arriving she saw him chained to a chair with his head down. His turned his head up to see who it was when a pair of shoes came into his view.

His eyes widened seeing her. A lump formed at his throat and he couldn't speak.

Tears glistened her eyes once again.
"It is really you" hyejin scoffed out a laugh.

Her father turned his head down in shame.

A whorl of swirling sickness formed at the pit of her stomach. She couldn't look at him anymore. so she left.

Donghyuck was on a call when he saw hyejin walking out of the office. Quickly hanging up he walked towards her. She looked disoriented and shaken. He just hugged her, muttering "it's okay'' softly and his hand patting her head.

She closed her swollen eyes as it pained due to the continuous crying.

Jaehyun watched them from afar. He felt useless at times like these. He wanted to be the one for her but donghyuck always beat him to it. Maybe it's because of their long year friendship. Donghyuck always knew what she needed.

He sighed heavily looking away.
'i hope she gets over this' he thought.
