Chapter 34Savanna's POV
I grabbed the steering wheel tighter, my knuckles turning white. I hate the fact that I'm always being bumped by twelve year old boys(also by Sam) and I can't even manage to bump anyone.
I felt my body push forward from a boy who bumped me. Gosh, I should never drive, ever.
I scanned around for Sam. I suddenly spot him in the clearing, scaring the kids away by moving forward and backward alternatively. I really need to bump him.
I pulled the steering wheel to the left, and went straight to his direction. Unfortunately, a girl-probably two years younger than me or so-bumped me.
"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry!" She quickly said. Why would she apologize if bumping is actually the main point in Bumper Cars.
"It's fine!" I gave her a smile hurryingly and continued to what I was supposed to do. The problem is, Sam isn't there anymore.
I cursed under my breath until someone bumped my car on the side.
I heard Sam chuckle. "Oops I did it again." He sang.
I shook my head playfully. "Your voice is really terrible."
He gave a challenging smirk. "And your driving skills are even worse."
I rolled my eyes, annoyed and drove away. I hope this plan works. I made a U-turn and went back straight to him. He wasn't facing here. Now's the right time. I went straight and was about to bump him when a worker of the Bumper Cars blew the whistle and all the cars stopped.
Really? Why did it stop now? I was about to hit him. I grunted in frustration.
"Hey, are you going to unbuckle your seatbelt or what?"
My head snapped toward Sam, who was patiently waiting beside my car, folding his arms. "Yeah." I unbuckled the seatbelt.
He offered me his hand to help me up but I didn't take it. I'm still annoyed that I didn't get to bump anyone especially him. I stood up and tried to get out. Note the word "tried". My front foot tripped from the seatbelt and thanks to my reflexes, I grabbed both of my hands on something, and that something was Sam's neck. He had his arms on my waist. I stared at his warm chocolate eyes for a while and then backed up, straightening my clothes.
I cleared my throat. "Let's move on, shall we?" I asked him. I'm in a relationship for Pete's sake! I won't let anything ruin me and Luke.
He blinked blankly. "Yeah sure."
~~~~~
We walked around awkwardly. What happened earlier...
I don't want to think about it.
"That's the next one." Sam tugged my arm. I followed his gaze.
"Hell no! We are not riding a Skydiver." I snapped at him.
"Yes we are." He gave me a smile. "Sometimes Savanna, you'd need to face your fears." He lectured.
"Bla bla bla bla bla yeah, my ass." I gave him an irritated look. "Next time, I'd leave you inside a cage full of poisonous spiders and snakes or probably leave you in a lake full of pirranhas."
He shivered at the thought. "N-No, I-I'd rather not be left."
"That's what I thought." I tilted my head upwards, jutted my lips outwards and closed my eyes, a childish proud action.
"Ticket for two?"
"Yes please."
My eyes snapped open. please don't tell me...
