Chapter 22"Samuel?!"
From the night sky, it was quite dark and the yellow street light beside him was not helping but I knew that it was him. The shadow of his nose and lips made me knew he was smiling.
"Mhmm!"
"What are you doing? It's so late!" I said in a whisper, loud enough for him to hear.
"I hope you'll answer me, after I do this." He went for the wall, like he was about to climb. Since our house was made of bricks, it was easier to climb.
I think I should tell mom to smoothen the walls, any robber could climb up easily.
"What the hell are you doing!?" I yelled. "Shane could spot you any minute and I swear, he has a gun beside him every night." About the gun thing, it was true but about having it beside him, no.
He shook his head.
"Sam!" I hissed. "You're gonna die! Actually not only you are going to be sent to the grave tonight, also me!!"
He chuckled. He now had a victorious climb.
Sam sat beside me, and panted like he had a hundred push-ups(or more).
"Why do you sometimes underestimate my abilities?" He said. "I'm awesome and you know that, right?"
"Hmm…" I said looking at the sky. "No. I don't think so." I giggled. "Arm wrestle?" I gave him a wicked grin.
"I know I'm going to beat you." He said cracking his fingers as he stretched it.
"Yeah. Well prove it."
"One two three go!"
I hate how he got to push my hand first so I think he got a headstart there. I placed more force with my arm, he placed his lips in a thin line.
"I hate how you got to workout when we were young." Sam said through clenched jaws.
"But I stopped and you're a boy so you're supposed to win this."
Many struggles and grunts later, we eventually gave up and fell to our backs, panting.
We looked at the sky then at each other.
"Don't you just love it?" He said through a sigh and rested his neck in his hands.
"Shhh.. Enjoy the view and shut up." I said at him and looked back up.
"What? That's imposs–"
"Shhh..." I said and giggled. We looked at each other once more.
We were too close to each other. He sat up and I did the same. He tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear and his hand rested on my cheek.
"You're so beautiful..." He said as his gaze landed from my eyes to my lips.
Sh1t. What am I supposed to do? Kiss him? No. Maybe. Yes. I mean, I don't know.
What is he thinking right now?
I licked my lips as we rested our foreheads together. Our breaths were mixing.
Damn. He looks hot tonight.
We were about to kiss when my brother pushed the door open, his phone in his hand.
"Hey Sav, do you know..." Shane trailed off as he looked at Sam and I. His jaw dropped. I bit my lips. "I was about to leave." With that, he shut the door.
"Umm.. Okay." Sam said. "That was awkward."
"It's okay."
"Wha-"
I kissed him, my hands went its way to his neck.
He tastes good. And smells good too for that matter.
I tried to push away those thoughts but ended up ruining the kiss.
I laughed.
We stopped and rested our foreheads together. "What?" He said in shock. "Why'd you stop?"
"Nothing." I said. "You're just a good kisser." I giggled. We went back to a kiss but a bit longer this time.

My head rested on his lap and he leaned back on his elbows.
Sam's POV
"Sam?" Savanna said. I hummed in reply.
"This may sound weird but, what are we?" She asked, feeling unsure if she should've asked it or not.
"I don't know actually."
"So, you ready for the Masquerade Ball for tonight?" She asked.
I blinked three times before answering.
"I'm not coming." I said firmly as I played with her hair.
"What?!" She said in disbelief.
"You heard me." I said, not being able to look at her eyes.
She sat up too quickly. "Come, for me," She paused and closed her eyes. "Please." She opened them again giving me puppy eyes.
"No…no. Not those eyes please." But she kept coming nearer. "Fine!" I said when her face went all Jupiter on me.
"Yay!" She hugged me.
"Unless," I said making her pout as she scooted backwards. "You could catch me in the game of tag."
"Deal!"
