Chapter 20~'We're here for shopping, remember?'

Chapter 20

No!! The day we'll go shopping. Chloe really is a shopping person. She told me she wanted to pick the best dress for the ball especially a mask. Gladly, Jasmine's coming too.

"C'mon Sav! Just an hour?" Chloe asked doing the puppy eyes. I can never say no to a friend right?

"Fine fine." I said rolling my eyes.

Jasmine stood there, silent. I wonder why.

Chloe suddenly smiled until it reached her ears. She really does love shopping.

We went inside Magarbo. Chloe looks like she's in heaven.

"Why not we try to get the dresses first." She exclaimed going to the dress section.

"So Jasmine.. Why are you so silent lately?" I said furrowing my brows to pretend my confusion. She gulped nervously finding the words to say.

"U-Umm.. Well. I-I just.. Ralph said it's over." She stuttered nervously. My eyes widened in shock.

"What?! Why?!" I said shaking her continuously.

"I don't know." She sighed. "Everything was going great when suddenly.. on his birthday, I saw him with another girl holding hands. He went to me and said it was over." She said in between sobs.

"Shh.. Shh.. It's ok. You'll find a guy in the Masquerade ball." I said hugging her. She hugged back.

"What if not?" She said in a pouty mouth voice.

"Just keep your hopes up." I said smiling and letting go of the hug.

"Hey guys." Chloe said rolling her eyes."We're not here for some drama. We're here for shopping remember." She said tilting her head.

"I'll get some juice for both of you." Jasmine said kindly.

"Didn't I say that we should go shopping?" She said smiling sarcastically.

"I'm not interested for those kind of bxllshxt." Jasmine angrily said, walking out of the shop.

"What the hell was that Chloe?" I said folding my arms across my chest.

"Ha. Well, she isn't cooperating." I tightened my fists.

"Her heart is broken. Okay?"

"Well, I don't care if she's broken." Chloe said looking for more dresses.

"Hey. She was just going to get us some juice and you treat her like that?"

Before she could utter a word, I said,"You're just popular doesn't mean that you could get anything that you want." I said gulping. She stopped looking at the dresses and faced me.

"I shouldn't have told Oli to give you back your iPhone when he stole it from you."

"I shouldn't have paid Brittany $10 to get you back. It was hard to ask my dad." My heart stopped. I don't like talking about dad.

"Is that why Drake, your childhood crush, didn't like you back? And Velicity quit our group?"

"Don't you dare, Savanna!" She said, her face full of rage. "That incident was when I was younger. I made mistakes okay?"

I shook my head. "You don't understand, Chloe." I paused. She furrowed her eyebrows. "You make a lot of mistakes.. Wrong decisions. And you are somehow popular and I don't know why." Those words slipped out of my mouth easily. I wanted to slap myself there already.

Chloe stomped her feet as she walked to the exit. She opened the door. Before she got out, she said,"You're changing Savanna. After three boys liking you, you changed from Savanna to whoever the new you is."

With that, she slammed the door behind her.

I messed up.
