"Your highness, her majesty has asked for your presence in the ball room." Taehyung took a deep breath hearing the familiar voice. Today was the day. His parents are gonna announce his marriage with someone whom he doesn't even know. Taehyung have always wanted to marry someone whom he truly loves. However it was forbidden for royals. How he wished, he was never born as one. He wanted to run away from everything. "Your highness?"

Taehyung turned behind only to see the most beautiful eyes looking at him with so much pain. His heart sank as they stared at each other. All of a sudden Taehyung grabbed her hand and said "let's run away together." Y/N instantly snatched her hand from his grip. "Stop being ridiculous. Just come with me." Before Taehyung could say anything Y/N started walking away. It made Taehyung pissed. They're in love with each other even though they never confessed but they both knew.

Taehyung entered inside the ball room with a blank face. He glanced at Y/N who stood in the corner, lowering her head before walking towards his parents. He greeted his parents and the others. After greetings, the king and queen decided to give a speech before they dropped the big announcement. Taehyung wasn't listening to anything. He was eyeing Y/N.

Meanwhile Y/N could feel the cold stare the prince was giving her. She was nervous and scared at the same time. She was afraid that Taehyung would do something reckless because he was pissed. She was the head maid and courtier of the prince. After her mother died she got the position.

Y/N still remembers the day when she came here with her mother. She was only three at that time. She never liked big house. While the other kids would die to come in the palace, Y/N used to say that the palace looked like monster.

She was so scared to come inside. She was crying. Her mother tried everything to calm her down but she wasn't listening until a certain boy came to the rescue. "Hey." Y/N opened her eyes, peeking from behind of her mom and her mouth hung open. She was in awe because he was the prettiest boy, she had ever seen.

"Hewo." She said with her cheeks turning pink. She didn't realise when she grabbed the boy's hand and came inside with him. She was staring at him for the whole time as the six years old boy talked in order to distract her.

"There you go." Taehyung said as he successfully brought her in a room which was supposed to be the maid's room. "Your highness, you shouldn't come here. I'll-" Taehyung looked at her saying, "Don't worry about this. I like it here. I think you should go now. Mother will be angry if you waste one more second here." Y/N's mom didn't want Taehyung to get in trouble for staying with her daughter but the prince insisted. Taking a breath, she left after bowing to the prince.

Meanwhile when Y/N realised she was inside the big house, sha again started crying loudly. "What happened now?" The prince asked being surprised because she was just fine a minute ago. He tried to coax her but he failed. He was worried. "Why are you crying? If you cry like this you'll get sick. Do you want that?" Y/N shook her head. "Then stop crying and tell me what's wrong."

"I-I'm s-scwared. M-monster will eat me." Taehyung held her hand and said, "Don't worry I'll protect you." Y/N looked at him with her teary doe eyes. "Y-you will?" She asked in disbelief. "Yes I will." Taehyung said, smiling widely. "Prowmise?" The prince patted the little girl's head saying, "Promise."

Since that day they've been inseparable. They spent most of the time with each other, sharing magical moments and creating beautiful memories. However Taehyung's mother didn't like Y/N and she was well aware about that. The queen tried to separate them but Taehyung didn't let her. The prince made it clear when the queen tried to change his mind about being friends with a maid's daughter but he didn't care. All he wanted was her.
