Somewhere in the past...

"I'm sorry. I can't do this."

"Huh? What are you talking about, Yoongi?"

"I can't marry you, Y/N."

Y/N looked at Yoongi in confusion. They were on a date, the last one before their marriage. She started laughing.

"Nice joke baby. I'm not falling for it."

"I'm not joking. I really can't do this. I'm done."

She felt like her heart had been ripped out of her chest. "W-what?" She stuttered, tears threatening to fall. "What do you mean you're done? You're breaking up with me?"

"Yes."

"Why? What changed?"

"It is better not to know the answers to some questions."

She couldn't believe her own ears. Was it the same Yoongi who she fell in love with, whom she wanted to spend the rest of life with, who promised her to never let her go?

"What about our promises? You promised me that you'll never leave me. Was it all lie?" Yoongi was silent. He looked so cold, the side which Y/N never saw before.

"Promises are meant to be broken."

"And you broke my heart."

The couple stood in silence before she spoke again. "Did you fall out of love?" Again the silence. "Tell me, Yoongi." He sighed in exhaustion. "Maybe." Y/N couldn't breathe. She felt her heart was being squeezed.

She didn't know what came over her. She slapped Yoongi. All she could feel was betrayal. She felt so stupid, so naive for letting her guards down. She should've known nobody, specially a rich kid like Yoongi would never be in love with an orphan like her. "How can you do this to me? Is it that easy to fall out of love?"

A single tear dropped from his eyes but it was unnoticed by her as the hair bangs covered his eyes half. "I'm sorry." He whispered which wasn't audible to Y/N. She threw the ring to Yoongi's face. "Get lost. Don't show your face ever again. Just go away."

9 years later - present day...

"Y/N!" She got out of her thoughts as one of her best friends, Jimin called her by shaking her shoulder as she wasn't saying anything. "Yeah?" She replied. "Girl, I've been calling you for the past five minutes." He said. "Sorry, I zoned out for a while." She said with a sigh.

Jimin and his other friends, Hoseok and his husband Taehyung exchanged a glance. They knew everything. After all they've been friends since they were in middle school and now they're over 30. "So you're coming to my bachelor party right?"

"I'm sorry, Jimin. I can't go. I've work." Jimin stared at her in disbelief. "Fucking ridiculous! You're the CEO bitch. I'm sure there won't be any problem if you miss work for one day." Jimin snapped. "Ahhh why are you getting angry?"

"Should I not? You missed every single reunion with this lame excuse. Yet I didn't get mad at you but this time? It's my damn bachelor party whore. I'm getting married in two days and I want my best friends to be there. Can't you go for me?"

"Jimin, sit down. People are staring at you." One of them said. "Do I give a fuck Tae? No!" Taehyung facepalmed himself. "Babe, let him be. He has every right to be mad." Hoseok said, eyeing Y/N. "Seokie, you too?" Hoseok didn't respond to her. They don't understand why I do this. If I go there, I've to face him. I don't wanna see him. But again because of my own problem I'm hurting them. She sighed in frustration.
