Chapter 7

"Hello Elijah." Alex said after arriving in front of him. "Oh and you're not alone. Hello Stefan."

"Hello Ms. Russo. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit."

"I came to bring you to the ritual. Klaus wants you there for familial reasons."

"Ah, I see. Lead the way then."

"Alright let's go."

"Wait..is Elena going to be alright? What about the vampire blood in her system?" Stefan asked, worried about his girlfriend.

"Yes Elena will be fine. I removed the vampire blood from her system. And since she took the elixir she will be resuscitated after the ritual as a human, not vampire." Stefan let out a breath of relief, and nodded in thanks.

"Shall we Elijah?" Alex said as she held out her hand for him to take. Once Elijah grabbed her hand she teleported them to the ritual site.

Damon's POV

After waking up from getting my neck snapped, I quickly sat up and looked around to see that I was still in Alaric's apartment.

"Finally awake huh?" I turned my head to see Katherine standing there.

I quickly ran over to her grabbing her neck as I held her to the wall. "Why didn't you tell me that she was doing the ritual?"

"I didn't know, Damon. I've been stuck in this apartment, that I've been compelled to not leave. Plus, I don't even know who she is, I just met her a few seconds before you came in here and got your neck snapped. So sorry for not being completely up to speed okay?"

I slowly let go of her neck and scoffed as I stormed out of the apartment. I picked up the phone to call Stefan, "Stefan, we have a problem. The ritual is still happening."

"I know Damon."

"Huh, how do you know? Did Klaus already take Elena?"

"Yes, and I already talked to Ms. Russo. She said that she got rid of the vampire blood, and Elena took the elixir so she will come back as a human not a vampire."

"You just let her go with them?"

"What was I supposed to do Damon? She went with them because she doesn't want anyone to get hurt, and she believes that this elixir will save her. She is trusting me not to interfere and believe in her decisions. I will not break her trust, Damon."

"So you're just going to trust a woman you barely know?"

"No, I'm trusting Elena."

"Whatever." I said as I hung up the phone. I ran to Bonnie, maybe she has any ideas on how to save Elena. "Bonnie, I need your help."

"What do you need my help with?"

"Elena has been taken to the ritual site."

"What?!? Well we have to stop her, let's go."

"No wait, I can't let you go."

"Why not?"

"Because you have no magic, I just needed to know if you have any ideas of how to stop the ritual."

"First of all, I do still have my magic."

"What? How?"

"I talked to the witches at the old witch house. They allowed me to have my magic back, but I have to do something for them first."

"And? What do they want you to do?"

"They want me to stop Klaus from becoming a full hybrid and making more of his kind."
