Chapter 8

As Alex fell to the ground she noticed Klaus looking at her with shock and sadness in her eyes. She wanted to tell him that it'll be okay, but then everything went black for a few seconds until the setting around her changed to the Death realm. "Hey Alex." Death said.

She quickly turned to the sound of his voice and smiled saying, "Hey Death." She looked around a little bit as she began to take in what just happened. "So I just "died" right?" She asked as she put air quotes around "died".

"Yes, that bastard, Damon, snapped your neck. When we meet I'll be giving him one hell of an afterlife."

"Okay, Death. Calm down, we can worry about that once he's dead. In the mean time, I'll take care of him when I wake up. Speaking of which, how long will it take for me to wake up?"

"Good, that bastard needs to pay. After everything you did for that little group to make sure that they survive...Anyway to answer your question, it should take long at all, anytime now really." She nodded in response. "You did a good job with that ritual by the way."

"Thank you, I told you I would." She said with a smirk. Then her body began to fade in and out.

"Looks like you're waking up. I would say try to be careful, but we both know that's not gonna happen."

Alex laughed a bit, "Talk to you later Death." She said as she finally faded out of Death's realm.

As Elijah carried Alex out the woods, she began to open her eyes.

"Ugh. That bitch really did break my neck." She groaned as she tried to sit up, but realized that someone was carrying her. She quickly opened her eyes wide and shocked to see Elijah carrying her, just as he was shocked to see her alive after having her neck snapped.

"You were dead? How are you alive right now?" He said, jostling her a bit.

"Owowow" she groaned in pain at the feeling of the arrow still embedded in her shoulder.

"Oh right. Let me get that for you." Elijah then sat her on the ground, and grabbed the arrow. He looked at her to make sure she was ready for him to take it out. Once she nodded in response, he yanked it out. She groaned out in pain and relief once the arrow was removed.

"Thank you." Elijah nodded. He then looked at the wound to see how severe it is only to be shocked at the sight of it healing on its own.

"I guess I see how you aren't dead. But what are you?"

"That's a funny story that I'd rather tell both you and Klaus at the same time. Speaking of which, where is he? Was he able to complete his transformation?"

"Yes, he should be coming to any minute now. He was very upset at seeing you die."

"Sorry about that. I promise I'll explain later though... I already know who snapped my neck, but who shot me?"

"Alaric shot you before Damon snapped your neck. I'm glad you're okay by the way."

"Me too to be honest." Elijah smiled a little bit at her response. "Anyway let's go check on Klaus." Elijah nodded as he once again picked her and sped to Klaus's location.

When they got close, he set Alex down as they walked the rest of the way. Upon arrival, he noticed Klaus naked. "How about you wait here, until I make sure my brother is decent?"

Alex looked confused until she caught a glimpse of a naked Klaus. Her eyes went wide as she quickly turned away replying, "Oh my god, that is not a sight I wanted to see. Yeah, I'll just wait right here."
