Chapter 16

The beams from the sun began to peak through the curtains and hit Alex's eyes causing her to slowly wake up. As she groggily sat up, she rubbed her eyes before opening them and screaming in shock at the sight of her family standing there. She blinked a couple of times to make sure that she wasn't hallucinating, but her mother said as she caressed her cheek, "It's us mija. We're really here."

Alex's eyes teared up slightly as she chuckled and ran over to her family hugging them, "You're here. You're really here. And I can touch you guys."

At the sound of her scream, Kol and Rebekah rushed into the room, but were confused when they saw no one there, only her hugging the air. Kol cleared his throat and asked, "Um..Alex, darling. What's going on?"

Alex cleared her throat and let go of her family before turning to the Mikaelson siblings and saying, "Well, I don't know how, but apparently my family is here?"

"Alex there's no one there." Rebekah says.

"You guys can't see them?" Alex asks.

Kol and Rebekah just shook their heads, still a bit confused. "Okay then, just give me a second." She said before summoning her grimoire to find a spell that'll make her family visible. Once she did the spell, Kol and Rebekah looked in shock as Alex's family began to slowly materialize as if out of thin air.

Alex looks amused at Kol and Rebekah before saying, "Judging by the looks on your faces, I'm guessing that you can see them now?" The Mikaelson siblings still stand there in shock while nodding slowly. "Well then, let me formally introduce you guys. Kol, Rebekah, this is my mom, dad, my best friend Harper, and my two brothers Justin and Max. And guys this is Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson."

After recovering from the shock, Kol and Rebekah then go forward to shake their hands.

"It's an honor to meet you guys, Alex has told me a bit about you guys." Kol says.

"What my brother said. It's really nice to actually meet you guys, but I'm a little confused as to how you guys are here." Rebekah says.

"Right. How are you guys here? You guys shouldn't even be here unless I summon you. And even then I shouldn't be able to touch you guys. So how did you guys get a physical foothold on this plain?"

"I really don't know Alex. One minute we were just watching over you, and the next we felt this shift."

"Right then, you woke up and were able to see us and make physical contact with us."

"Hmm...It might have something to do with that Bennet witch." Rebekah said.

"What do you mean?" Alex asked.

"Well the other day I overheard her talking with Matt about his sister having some kind of physical foothold and causing issues and that they needed to send her away permanently. She probably did a spell."

"If she did, she completely botched it. That means that anybody that was on the other side with some kind of vendetta will probably go after people."

"Shit, and we have 1000 years of enemies."

"You're right. Maybe we should stay here. My wards are still up so no one can enter the apartment. That is if you guys are okay with staying here." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement, causing her to smile and say, "Perfect. Well let's all go to the living room to be more comfortable."

Caroline and Bonnie are talking while helping decorate the town square for the Night of Illumination when Damon drives up to them looking annoyed, "Greetings blondie...witchy. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan yesterday."
