"Look at them. Just, look at them."

"I know, they're so cute."

"Who do you think the cub will resemble the most?"

"Ned!"

"No, I think Klara."

"The gift of being an omega... to give birth to new life."

"Aw, yes."

I sat on a bar stool with Clover and Isabella, all three of us watching the delta couple Klara and Ned sitting by the kitchen table, heads close together while whispering sweet words to each other.

They had announced earlier that day how they were expecting their second child and how their son Ivan would become a brother. The whole pack celebrated this, Adam preparing a cake.

I glanced at him where he stood by the stove, earbuds in his ears while Vivian sat on the kitchen counter next to him, looking in love while observing her mate.

I swallowed, pressing a hand over my lower stomach. I yearned for my mate. Mate... Reed hadn't claimed me yet, so was I really counted as his mate then?

I missed him so much, but I knew he was out patrolling the borders. My dignified and sexy alpha. I wished he was here so I could cuddle in his lap, kissing his stubbled cheek... I wished he carried me to bed, to... The others' laughter made me look up, with somewhat flushed cheeks.

"Gosh their love pheromones, they almost make me horny!" Isabella giggled, glancing at me before she smiled even bigger. "And I'm not alone," she winked. Clover turned to me just as I looked away.

"Don't worry, Ryan," she laughed. "We omegas have a tendency to get affected by each other. We often sync our heat cycles."

"Okay," I blushed even more.

"But above all, the rest of us adapt to our alphamega's heat cycle, AND," Isabella leaned in towards me and took a whiff, grinning. "Oh my, maybe it's you who make me horny and not those two lovebirds!" I blushed badly and they both giggled amused. "You ooze lusty pheromones!"

"Thanks for the information!" I burst, leaning back to stare at the two laughing omegas. "But I'm not, um... I mean; women have their period like... Uh,"

"You sure smell like it," Clover said.

"How does it even work for you?"

"I dunno, Reed said I'm the first male he's met, so I guess I'm defected."

"Stop that, you are not defected," Isabella said quite sternly. She then smiled a smug smile. "When will our beloved alpha claim you anyway?"

"I dunno," I answered a bit too obvious disappointed, showing my displeasure at that fact. "He claims he wants me to be fully ready for it. For my heat to reach the peak."

"Well, if my nose is right you are," she smiled widely. I nodded with a smile.

"Gosh, I actually am fucking horny!" I then burst, deciding not to be ashamed anymore.

It wasn't something odd or weird, all of us grown-ups. I could just as admit my lust since they smelled it anyway!

"I fucking need to get laid! I have yearned for Reed since day one, before I knew about this part of myself, about us." I rubbed my ass at the stool. "And this heat is killing me!" I pulled in the collar of my shirt.

"Reed is a gentleman, giving respect and wanting to be gentle," I heard Ned call out, me realizing he heard us.

"Well, I still need my vitamin D! I wanna do the four-legged foxtrot, the fucktrot!" Everyone burst out laughing and Isabella showed me with her elbow.
