I woke up to sunrays finding their way in through the curtains and teasing my eyes. I squinted against the bright light before I nuzzled closer to Reed who as usual held me in his arms all night.

I hooked my leg over his hip, placing a tender kiss over his collarbone. The frost had formed beautiful patterns on the windows, and I could feel the chill air. But I was warm. Reed kept me warm and our thick duvets.

A low purr from above me made me look up. Mr. Sparkles lay sleeping on my pillow, warming my head. I still can't understand what has gotten into him. Since I shifted has he been extra close. He rarely leaves my side unless he has to or seems to think I'm... safe? I dunno.

Reed is as puzzled as I am about the whole thing since the cat was unsocial before I came here. I claimed how my dashing personality was the reason, but I also wonder why.

But at the same time, he doesn't bother us. He is welcome to share bed with us as long as he doesn't try to bite or claw at Reed. Mr. Sparkles could try and do precisely that if he considered Reed being mean or something.

I laughed the night before when he seemed to get tired of Reed's attempts to make me drink a ginger shot. He jumped up between us and happened to hit the glass so that Reed spilled it over his lap. I think he could be jealous. Or just mischievous.

"Good morning, Sparkles," I yawned, kissing his nose before turning to Reed. "Good morning, handsome mate." I kissed his nose too. He wrinkled it before opening a tired eye.

"Good morning, my love." I sighed contentedly, stealing a tired kiss from him before I slithered down so I could rest my head against his chest. He caressed my arm relaxingly. "How was your night?"

"Good. I dreamed I was swimming in a pool of bananas." Reed frowned.

"What?"

"I tried to find yours, but it was difficult." He tickled my armpit and I giggled. "I had to ask Vendela and Becca to help me!"

"Gosh..."

"Yeah they couldn't tell the difference once I held your cock in my hand and tried to,"

"Ryan!" We both laughed. "Even in your sleep your imagination is fascinating."

"I am badass. PURE badass!" I traced a circle on his chest with my finger before kissing the same spot. "Thanks for yesterday."

"It was fun."

"Yeah, it was perfect. It means a lot to me how our families get along. Only Becca was missing."

"Me too. But today you were supposed to call her, right?"

"Yes. On facetime even."

"Fun," Reed kissed my head slowly. "I hope she get the help she needs."

It was the morning after Thanksgiving and knowing that my family was still here and would join us for breakfast made me euphoric.

The evening had been a blast. After we ate the dessert I managed to get most of them to the dance hall where me and Mike together with Alex and Riley showed off badass dance moves. I was lyrical about having sisters-in-law who could actually dance.

Reed's mom retreated to her suite rather quickly, tired from her journey here. I assume it was most due to her having to socialize with others than her small pack.

My parents stayed up longer than I thought. Mom danced a little as well while dad preferred talking to Otto and his wife. Vendela found a new friend in Klara, and they talked a lot about their sons.

But something that made me more than happy yet troubled was Mike and Alex. They found each other last night. And I mean really found each other.

After the dance, when most people went to bed, some of us stayed up to watch a movie. They occupied a couch together and although they may not have cuddled like the rest of us who were couples, they sat very close and whispered to each other throughout the movie. And I'm happy for them, but...
