"Thank you so much, Aunt Jay!" I exclaim, gratitude welling up within me as I speak to my grandfather's sister. When everything transpired with George this morning, I dropped Teagan off at school and Grayson at daycare. Then, I called Aunt Jay to see if she could use her influence to secure a restraining order and expedite my divorce proceedings. After years of hard work and dedication, she had risen through the ranks as a lawyer, eventually becoming a judge – one of the best in Florida.

I was determined to make the process fast and clean. There was no way George would get his hands on a single penny of my money or claim custody of my son. While his cheating was common knowledge, it wasn't enough to guarantee me full custody of our child. I wasn't a fool, though. For the past two years, I'd employed a private investigator to track George's movements and document his infidelities. I presented my findings, including the incriminating photographs and the bank statements that revealed how he'd been draining my finances for his own selfish desires.

George had never been a true father to Grayson, nor did he seem to care about our son. He had never been there for him, and I later discovered that George had missed the birth of our child because he was too busy sleeping with his assistant. With Aunt Jay's help, I was granted full custody without needing a hearing.

Having both a judge and a doctor in the family had its perks. George was now legally prohibited from coming within 500 feet of Grayson or me. And just two hours ago, he received the letter informing him of this. I had already arranged for movers to retrieve his belongings from our home. Within a few hours, it was as if he had never existed in our lives.

As I drive to pick up Teagan from school, my phone buzzes with an incoming call from my dad. "Hey princess, what are you up to?" she asks, her voice warm and familiar.

"On my way to pick up Teagan and Landon," I reply, keeping my eyes on the road.

"Oh, right, I forgot to mention that Landon is heading out with his friends, so you're only picking up Teagan," she informs me.

"Okay, Dad. Hey, do you and Mommy mind picking up Gray from daycare today and keeping him for the night?" I inquire, hoping they can do me this favor.

"Mhmm, for what?" Her curiosity is piqued, but I remain silent, offering only a coy smile. I'm certain my parents know my relationship with Teagan, even if we've never openly discussed it.

"Y'all are nasty," she chuckles. "But sure, why not. Just remember to use protection... or don't. I'd rather have another grandchild from Teagan than from that good-for-nothing husband of yours."

"Ex-husband," I correct her. "As of a few hours ago, it's officially over."

"Damn, Aunt Jay does work fast. Alright, princess, I'll pick up Grayson. Love you."

"Love you too, Daddy." We end the call just as I pull into the school parking lot. Teagan spots me and greets me with a radiant smile. As she slides into the passenger seat and shuts the door, she wastes no time pulling me into a passionate kiss.

Taking a moment to savor the embrace, I eventually pull away from her lips. "Mmm, hello to you too," I tease.

"Sorry," she murmurs, a hint of embarrassment. "I just missed you."

"It's okay." I pull out of the school parking lot and head toward the house. My phone rings again, and this time it's my twin sister. I answer the call and put her on speaker.

"Sup, sis! What are you doing?" Hope's voice is spirited, and Tea laughs.

"Just driving home," I say. "Teagan's in the car."
