Faith
Teagan and I arrive at my parents' house, and there are already so many people gathered for Thanksgiving. She slouches in her seat and sighs. "What if they find out?"
"Then they find out... I'll be here if they do." She smiles at my response. I grab her hand and kiss the back of it. "Let's get inside and at least try to enjoy ourselves. Okay?"
She nods and gets out of the car. I knew she would go straight to Grayson; she's attached to my son as if he were her own. We make it into the house, and everyone is engaged in lively conversations.
"Bitch, you're here!" Morgan yells across the house. Morgan is Gina and Mckenna's youngest daughter out of five. Gina was and still is my aunt Adelaide's best friend from high school. Morgan is as crazy as her mother.
I laugh at her outburst, and she pulls me into a hug. "Crazy ass. I just saw you the other day at the club."
"I know, but I can still miss my best friend, right?"
"Better not let Hope hear you say that."
"Say what?" Hope chimes in from behind her.
"Morgan said I was her one and only best friend," I smirk and wink at Teagan. She turns red and starts to stroll away with my son.
I feel a smack on the back of my head. "Puta, I did not say that!" Morgan yells.
"Better not have. I'm your best friend," Hope says to her. "So... are you coming out tonight?" she says, nodding to someone behind us.
I glance at Teagan, and my face instantly lights up with a grin. I turn my attention back to my sister and Morgan. "No, she's not ready yet."
I can see they want to say something else, but Mason, Mandy, Jenna, and Jasmine walk up to us.
My aunts, Macy and Addy, have five children: Mason, Mandy, Evelynn, Ethan, and Teagan. My uncles, Camden and Miguel, have a daughter: Kayla. My aunt Mia and her wife had a son: Jasper. Her twin sister, Layla, and her husband had twins: Jenna and Jasmine. We have a ton of cousins, and guess what? I'm the only one who's had a baby... shocker.
"Ayyyyy," they all say as we exchange hugs. Kayla and Jasper come up, and we do the same. The circle just keeps getting bigger. The Reeds blood line is hard to remember; it's as if we've created an entire community.
"We hitting the club tonight or nah?" Jasper asks.
"Fool, it's Thanksgiving," Hope rolls her eyes.
"So, Serenity is open until 2:30 in the morning. I'm definitely trying to get some ass tonight," Mason says. We all start laughing, and Mandy shoves her brother.
"I'm down," Jasmine says, and her twin, Jenna, agrees.
"Same here, bitches, tryna get me a little something-something," Morgan jokes.
"Morg, you're a hoe."
"What! That's rich coming from you, Hope; you've slept with half the staff and customers at Serenity," I join in.
"Damn, sis, throw my business out like that, will you?"
"It's not like we don't know the whole club is talking about you and your little willy," Mandy says, twirling her finger towards my sister's crotch.
