Summary: After breaking up Hailee tries to salvage their relationship

Busy streets of New York echo in my ears as I hurriedly walk down the street. Brushing past all kinds of different people I finally step in a familiar building.

My steps bounce of the walls as I enter my office.

"Good morning Miss Y/l/n" my assistant greeted as she hands me coffee

"Morning" I flash a fake smiles "thank you" I take the coffee out of her hands and sit down on my chair "what do i have today?" I question as i open my laptop

"You have a meeting with Mr. Santos at 10 and a meeting with Mrs. Jones at 12" she explains as her eyes scan over the planner in her hands

"Okay thank you" I smile

"Do you need anything else ma'am?" She questions

"No thank you. You can go" I respond, my eyes flicker over to hers as she nods and leaves.

I exhale and lean back into my chair. Hailee and I broke up six months ago and it hasn't been easy. I've been distracting myself with alcohol and work, mainly alcohol. The breakup wasn't easy for me but Hailee on the other hand seems totally fine. All of her social media is covered in happy posts and new music, and of course numerous parties with millions of people on them.

I catch myself thinking about her again, and I quickly snap out of my thoughts. My fingers graze over the keys as I respond to some emails.

(Time skip)

Mr Santos just left my office. I slump back in my chair replaying the meeting in my head  as i do every time after a meeting. Just to you know be sure I said everything I wanted to.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts as my assistant walks through the door.

"Miss Y/l/n there is someone here to see you" she announced

"Send them in" i smile as she nods and leaves the office

Who the fuck wants to see me now? I just had a meeting and my next one is in two hours. As long as I kn---

My thoughts are interrupted when a hazel eyed beauty walks through the door.

"Hi" she whispers as she closes the door

"H-hailee? What are you doing here?" I stutter as I stand up making my way on the other side of the desk. I lean back on my desk and cross my arms.

"I wanted to.... talk" Hailee explains as she walks closer to me

"There is nothing to talk about Hailee" I coldly say

"Y/n please" Hailee pleads, now being a few steps away from me. Her hypnotising hazel eyes capture mine, and I instantly give in

"Fine. What do you want?" I question as my eyes flicker away from her eyes

"You. I want you Y/n" Hailee admits and trails her finger down my right arm. I shiver under her touch and flicker my eyes to hers once again. "I'm sorry Y/n, I really am. I was jealous and.. I hurt you but I want you. I need you"

"Hailee we can't. We tried and we didn't work together" I mumble as I notice tears form in her eyes

"I know but... can we try again? I love you and I can't live without you" Hailee whispers, trailing her finger up and down my arm again

She knows what her touch does to me. She knows that I can't think straight with her hands on my body.

"Hailee I want to try again... but I can't get hurt again. We aren't good for each other" I explain as I remove her hand from my arm, so I can focus again

"We are good for each other" Hailee smiles taking a step closer

"No we're not" I shake my head

"Y/n please just give me a chance" Hailee whispered placing her hands on either side of me on the desk; trapping my me between her body and the desk

I need her. I want her, but all those fights we had, that eventually lead to a break up were toxic. We were toxic and both of us know it.

Her intoxicating sent invades my senses. Her hypnotising eyes pierce through mine. My eyes flicker down to her lips.

Hailee leans in and her lips connect with mine. She places her hands on my waist pushing me deeper in the desk; making me release a soft moan in her mouth. My hands tangle in her hair pulling her as close as possible.

When air was needed Hailee pulls away. Both of us pant breathlessly as we rest our foreheads together.

"Can we try again?" Hailee whispers

"Yes" I whisper before connecting our lips once again.
