Chapter 5: Returning the Favor

Brynne's POV

After 40 minutes of ride, we've finally arrived where I live. The Lancaster's Palace, well not exactly a palace, though it is big enough to call it one. My Grandpappy chose to name it that way because for him, we are a royal family in the business industry.

It is a Mediterranean-style Mansion, with amenities such as a spacious frontyard, a big fountain in the middle of the frontyard, patios,a wide garden, an indoor pool with an indoor manmade falls, indoor gym, entertainment room, we also have our very own function hall, guest rooms that I lost count of, library, a garage, wine cellars, a fine dining room, a fireplace, and many more.

It was kinda sad and lonely though, feeling ko kasi mag isa lang akong nakatira dito palagi, I mean literally na mag isa ako dito palagi kasi busy silang lahat sa business namin, ugh! enough with this drama already.

I was greeted by a bunch of maids and security personnel. I didn't waste my time looking at them, instead I walked directly to Walter, our Mayordomo, the headservant of our residence, he's currently instructing some orders to.....I don't know, new maids I guess.

"Where's Grandpappy? Is he home?" he bowed together with his company as I stand before them.

"Magandang gabi Young Lady, nasa dining table ang Chairman, kasama ng iyong mga magulang" my forehead creases when he mentioned my oh so loving parents (sarcastic). And hindi ito normally na nangyayari, yung sabay sabay kaming kakain kapag weekdays, we seldom do this thing, once a week lang, tuwing sunday, and we do this formally.

"Really? Nakabalik na sila? I thought sa susunod na buwan pa ang balik nilang dalawa" he doesn't have any idea so I decided to just proceed with my intention,naglakad ako papunta sa dining area.

Malayo palang ay naririnig ko na silang nag uusap tungkol sa business trip nila sa Middle East, wala ng bago, everytime na magkakaharap sila, all they talk about is their businesses,minsan nakakasawa na rin but I don't really have much of a choice, that's one of the downsides of being a Lancaster, business minded people.

"Wala kayong dapat ikabahala sa bagay na yun Dad, we already took care of that matter, patuloy pa rin pagbuhos ng mga investors natin who seeks to diversify their investments" Dad confidently stated which made my Grandpappy smiled, konti lang naman.

"I trust you with that Marion, sa tingi- oh good you're finally here apo, halika samahan mo na kaming magdinner" lumapad ang ngiti ni Grandpappy ng makita niya ako, mas malapad, hindi gaya kanina, and this always reminds me that for him, I am his most precious treasure.

"My unica hija, I missed you" Dad and Mom immediately stand up, and walk towards me, all smiles sila, pfft as if naman talaga masaya silang makita ako.

They both hug me tightly "how is your day Brynne? I bought you something that you'll surely like" si mom naman ngayon, I just rolled my eyes secretly.
