I was informed that we had to go hunting. Just like that. Because some people eat meat. It is worth noting that I very much misunderstood what they meant by "hunting" and was hoping for something that I would not get anyway. I would eat a human and I was fully prepared to kill anyone. They don't do that. My highness became useless there because I had nothing to do and they had to watch over me so I wouldn't wander off.
We didn't return to the house with the catch. It was still early, so they decided to eat outdoors. I didn't mind us being outside, but when I saw Tarlow trying to start a fire, I had to rebel against such a thing. As soon as he managed to collect the wood in a pile and almost managed to create a flame, I came closer and destroyed everything:
-Klarissa, no.-he warned me and moved me away from it, but that didn't stop me from coming to sabotage him again a few moments later and make a mess:
-Stop it!-he got angry and this time he pushed me a little harder:
-Do you want to eat raw meat?
-Maybe she's scared. You know that she's afraid to come close to the fireplace while it's lit.-Pavel noted:
-You don't know what they did to her.
-I have to stay hungry because someone else tried to cook her?
-I will light it, just hold her.-he instructed him and started collecting the wood that I had scattered.
Tarlow took me in his arms and put me on his lap so that I couldn't wriggle free. This is unlawful deprivation of liberty, people go to prison for such a crime:
-Do you think we would do something to you? Are we so mean to you?-judging by your temper control, you could do something to me, even if unintentionally due to your outburst.
He took the piece of white fur that was left and gave it to me to study. It is still long and soft, there was no time to shed before spring came:
-If you collect enough fur, we can make you a blanket so you can stop stealing from me. It wouldn't kill you to take it from him once in a while.
-Don't encourage her!
-I really doubt that she understands anything at all.-you just hope.
I hugged him around the neck and kissed him, which confused him and for a moment he didn't know what to do with himself. Usually he doesn't find such tame animals in the forest:
-I think she likes your blanket better.
-This is sabotage. No one has ever favored me this much.
-That's because she doesn't speak elvish. If she knew how much you swear and what you say in one day, she'd think elves were savages.
-How can I tell her to stop?
-Now you gotta regret that you never bothered to learn another language.-he said mockingly and left him to suffer. Tarlow deserved to be loved and he can't break free from my embrace.
I ran my fingers over the wrinkles around his eye and brought them down to the deeper ones under his mouth that he couldn't hide even if he tried:
-You get that when you get old.
-Or when you get too stressed out for no reason.
-Do you want to get them ahead of time?-he asked him sternly and almost threw something at him just so he would stop talking.
We managed to finish the meal outside in peace and I helped Tarlow finish it all. You should always help others. He didn't seem too grateful that I cleaned his plate, but I didn't help to be praised. He knows deep down that sharing with others is an act of love and care. How could he neglect me?
